Claws, horns and maces.

One of fascinating features of mushrooms is their shape. Typically they are single leg covered with a cup. But there are so many more shapes possible. This time some examples of single or multiple "stem with no cup" shape.

First a white coral. It is either some sort of Ramaria or Ramariopsis but when I tried to pinpoint exact species, those that fit from photos were described as very rare in Poland. The ones from my pictures are very common though. Some pictures were taken in Mokrznia Forest near my garden...

... others (cleaner white) were photographed in Dobków, Wąwóz Lipy and Wąwóz Piekiełko (Karkonosze) during my vacation.

Similar in shape, but with beautiful pronounced yellow color is the yellow staghorn.

I've read that there is also purple variety of a mushroom with similar shape in Karkonosze, but haven't found one.

Next a mushroom that resembles zombie nail, a white tip coming out of pale gray and black base - young candlesnuff fungus.

Finally two mushrooms that I've seen for the first time. First one is like a white straw, some kind of Typhula, growing out of dead leaves.

The ones I find the most interesting are club fungi, growing mixed with regular mushrooms.
