Amanita Muscaria (Fly Agaric)

It rained A Lot in a November in the Pacific Northwest and after the rain stopped there were fruiting of mushrooms.

The mushroom in question was growing below a deciduous Beech tree and I was lucky to encounter the biggest red toadstool I have seen in my life.

It is named Amanita Muscaria (Fly Agaric) as far as I know.

I generally don't pick mushrooms unless I am 100% sure it is edible.

That being said everything is edible at least once, right? In other words you can eat it but it doesn't mean you will be well after it.

I'm not 100% sure if it is toxic or just hallucinogenic or what amount of it would be dangerous but suffice to say I'd didn't test it!

Lots of duplication below (sorry!) with slightly different angles etc. Was interesting to encounter it.
