Ways to prepare yourself to give birth

Pregnancy can be a confusing process.

On one hand, your instincts are at their prime. You can feel your baby grow, move, and even when they got the
hiccups.

On the other hand everybody you meet suddenly is such a "good soul" and have to tell you all about their traumatic birth, just because you have a pregnant belly.
And that's on top of every naturally fear or stress you may feel.

So what can you do?

First of all you CAN be rude and stop people in the middle of a sentence if you're feeling their story is making you uncomfortable.
There are many good and empowering birth stories online that you can read.

Knowledge is power.

If you're interested, there are some books you can read to discover more about the process such as "Active birth" by Janet Balaskas, or "Spiritual Midwifery" by Ina May Gaskin.

Last but not least, you can take a few minutes every day, maybe at the end of the day when you get in bed, and feel your baby, feel your body. Try to listen to them, they may send you messages in their own way.
