Feliz semana, queridos amigos de Motherhood, espero estén disfrutando de unos días maravillosos y le den la bienvenida con una gran sonrisa a las vacaciones escolares 2023.
Es increíble lo rápido que está pasando este año, en un pestañeo los niños culminaron su año escolar y ahora solo queda, descansar y disfrutar junto a ellos unas felices vacaciones, que bien merecidas las tienen, pero no solo ellos, nosotros los padres también nos merecemos unos días de descanso para compartir en familia.
Vacaciones, puede ser un gran alivio para muchos padres y algo porque preocuparse para otros, especialmente, porque debemos seguir cumpliendo con nuestras responsabilidades, pero ahora con los niños las 24 horas en casa. Pero, aunque suene un cliché, existe algo que funciona muy bien y eso es la organización. Así, que nos toca reordenar nuestras agendas y ajustar nuestras rutinas en pro de unas vacaciones felices y productivas para nuestros niños.

It is amazing how fast this year is going, in the blink of an eye the children finished their school year and now all that is left is to rest and enjoy some happy holidays with them, they deserve it so much, but not only them, we parents also deserve a few days of rest to share with our family.
Holidays can be a great relief for many parents and something to worry about for others, especially because we have to continue fulfilling our responsibilities, but now with the children 24 hours at home. But, even though it sounds like a cliché, there is something that works very well and that is organization. So, we have to rearrange our schedules and adjust our routines in favor of happy and productive holidays for our children.
Para mi pequeño Angel, estas serán sus primeras vacaciones escolares y está bastante emocionado, porque en diversas ocasiones de la vida, yo le mencione algo como “En vacaciones iremos”, “En vacaciones te preparo esto”, “En vacaciones esto o aquello” y algunas otras cosas, que el no olvido; porque así son los niños, nunca se olvidan de las promesas que le hacemos y al enterarse de que ya está de vacaciones, está empezando a recordar todo.
Tengo varios planes para las vacaciones, que espero ir concretando a medida que vayan pasando los días de acuerdo a nuestros trabajos y por supuesto a nuestro presupuesto. Por lo pronto, Angel culmino su año escolar, con una semana bastante emocionante, fuimos a su paseo de fin de año y el viernes fue su fiesta de despedida, donde disfruto un montón y volvió a casa muy feliz con el regalo que le realizaron sus profesoras, un hermoso Bolsito lleno de golosinas.
For my little Angel, these will be his first school holidays and he is quite excited, because on various occasions in life, I mentioned something to him like "On vacation we will go", "On vacation I will prepare this for you", "On vacation this or that" and some other things, which he does not forget; because that's how children are, they never forget the promises we make to them and when they find out that they are already on vacation, they are starting to remember everything.
I have several plans for the holidays, which I hope to be able to carry out as the days go by according to our work and of course our budget. For the time being, Angel finished his school year, with a quite exciting week, we went to his end of year outing and on Friday was his farewell party, where he enjoyed a lot and came home very happy with the gift his teachers made him, a beautiful little bag full of sweets.

El fin de semana, fue de descanso, estuvimos en casa y nuestros planes, se vieron afectados porque enfermo, parece que está pasando por un proceso de infección, mucha tos y una fiebre que lo ha tenido cabizbajo y sin nada de energía y por supuesto muy apegado a mí, lo cual ha sido un poco difícil de manejar.
Ayer acudimos al doctor, a un ambulatorio cercano, se portó muy bien y le enviaron un tratamiento, que me pareció muy completo, mi esposo salió a comprar el medicamento y llegó un poco desanimado a casa, porque salía un poco costoso y el dinero que teníamos disponible no nos alcanzaba. Entonces, se nos ocurrió consultar en la página oficial de Farmatodo, una de las redes farmacéuticas más importantes de Venezuela, y nos encantó, porque a través de la página logramos comparar el medicamento en sus distintas marcas y presentaciones y ajustarnos a nuestro presupuesto. En total bajamos de un presupuesto de 730 BS (aprox 25$) a 430 BS (aprox.15$), ¿una gran diferencia no? Y lo mejor de todos es que nos trajeron el medicamento a la puerta de nuestra casa sin costo adicional.
Les comento esto, porque es una buena opción cuando queremos disminuir un poco el costo de los medicamentos, cuando nuestros niños o nosotros mismos los requerimos, ya que por lo general un mismo medicamento, puede variar en costo, solo por su marca o presentación. Siendo el componente activo el mismo.
This weekend, we rested at home and our plans were affected because he got sick. It seems he's going through an infection process, with a lot of coughing and a fever that has kept him down and without any energy. Of course, he's been clingy with me, which has been a little difficult to handle.
Yesterday we went to the doctor at a nearby clinic. He behaved very well and they prescribed a treatment that seemed very complete to me. My husband went to buy the medication and came home a little discouraged because it seemed a bit expensive and the money we had available wasn't enough. So we thought to consult the official website of Farmatodo, one of the most important pharmaceutical networks in Venezuela. We loved it because, through the website, we were able to compare the medication in its different brands and presentations and adjust to our budget. In total, we went from a budget of 730 BS (approximately $ 25) to 430 BS (approximately $ 15), a great difference, right? And the best part is that they brought the medication to our door for no additional cost.
I mention this because it is a good option when we want to reduce the cost of medication a little when our children or we ourselves need it, since generally the same medication can vary in cost only because of its brand or presentation, the active ingredient being the same.

Lo cierto, es que mi hijo está mejor, aunque no del todo, pero al menos hoy desayuno y la fiebre no ha vuelto, nos toca esperar que se mejore por completo, para poner en marcha nuestros planes, que básicamente se resumen de la siguiente manera:
Actividades en casa: Quiero aprovechar las vacaciones para reforzar lo aprendido en clases y trabajar algunas cosas en él, de una forma relajada y divertida, como jugar con legos, cuentos, colorear, juegos didácticos y dinámicas.
Visitar a mi hermana: Hace unos cuatro años, no visito a mi hermana que vive en otro Municipio, como a dos horas y media de nuestra casa y estoy muy ansiosa por pasar unos días con ella y además pasear en los distintos pueblos del Valle del Mocotíes.
Visitar a mis padres: Esto es algo que deseo mucho y mi niño también, pero actualmente las lluvias hicieron estragos en la vialidad, así que están construyendo nuevas vías de acceso, esperamos que se solventen pronto e ir a visitar a mis padres, conectar con la naturaleza y que Angel pueda pasar tiempo de calidad con sus abuelos.
Salir e ir a parques: Quiero que mi hijo, tenga la oportunidad de recrearse, así que planeo salir con el más seguido. En la ciudad llego un pequeño circo, cuyas entradas están a muy buen costo, así que tal vez me anime a llevarlo. También está invitado a varios cumpleaños, así que seguro tendremos varias opciones para que él se recree y libere toda esa energía acumulada en casa.
Plan vacacional: Aún no he escuchado acerca de planes vacacionales, pero si surge alguno, me encantaría inscribirlo, no importa si tengo que acompañarlo, porque esas actividades son muy buenos para desarrollar sus habilidades sociales. También a él le gusta la música, entonces iré a consultar si en el centro cultural, tienen algunas actividades planeadas para los niños en vacaciones.
Y así comenzamos esta maravillosa época del año. Estaré feliz de leer sus comentarios.
The truth is that my son is better, although not completely, but at least he had breakfast and the fever has not returned, we just have to wait for him to get better completely, to start our plans, which basically are summarized as follows:
Activities at home: I want to take advantage of the holidays to reinforce what was learned in class and work on some things with him, in a relaxed and fun way, such as playing with legos, stories, coloring, didactic games and dynamics.
Visit my sister: I haven't visited my sister in four years, who lives in another municipality, about two and a half hours from our house, and I'm very anxious to spend a few days with her and also walk around in the different towns of the Mocotíes Valley.
Visit my parents: This is something I really want and my child too, but currently the rains wreaked havoc on the roads, so they are building new access roads, we hope they will be resolved soon and go to visit my parents, connect with nature and that Angel can spend quality time with his grandparents.
Go out and go to parks: I want my child to have the opportunity to have fun, so I plan to go out with him more often. In the city a small circus arrives, whose tickets are very cheap, so I may be encouraged to take him. He is also invited to several birthdays, so we will surely have several options for him to have fun and release all that energy accumulated at home.
Vacation plan: I have not yet heard about vacation plans, but if one arises, I would love to sign up for it, no matter if I have to accompany him, because those activities are very good for developing his social skills. He also likes music, so I will go and consult if at the cultural center they have any activities planned for children on vacation.
