Buen inicio de semana, que este comienzo sea bendecido y permita cristalizar nuestros objetivos. Hoy les contaré como fueron los cumplemes de mi bebé. Cuando ella nació estaba muy de moda hacer fotos conmemorativas para el día que los bebés cumplieran mes. A mi me pareció una idea genial, porque me gustan bastante las fotos.
Este fue un desafío para mí, sería hacer una sesión de fotos para mi bebé, además de arreglar todo el escenario de la foto. Después de haber pensado bastante decidí hacer unos ponquecitos, decorarlos y con ellos armar el número del mes que ella estaba cumpliendo.
Good start of the week, may this beginning of the week be blessed and allow us to crystallize our goals. Today I will tell you about my baby's birthday. When she was born it was very fashionable to make commemorative photos for the day the babies turned a month old. I thought it was a great idea, because I like photos a lot.
This was a challenge for me, it would be a photo shoot for my baby, plus arranging the whole photo scenario. After a lot of thinking, I decided to make some little cakes, decorate them and use them to make the number of the month she was having her birthday.
Hacer ponquecitos me gusta bastante, así que ya comencé disfrutando la parte de la repostería. Para la primera sesión de fotos pedí ayuda de mi cuñada y nos reunimos en su casa. Llevé los ponquecitos listos y los decoré allá con una buttercream que quedó bien rica. Por cierto usé la receta que usan mi hermano y cuñada en sus tortas.
Para esa sesión de fotos me atrasé en los días porque no tenía a alguien cómplice para ayudarme. La hice cuando Amanda tenía 1 mes y 10 días, aún usaba yeso. Para las fotos tenía la idea de poner una de sus cobijitas abajo y ella encima al lado del número hecho de ponquesitos.
Como vestuario le coloqué un vestido que tejí para ella, para el momento en que saliera del hospital y todavía le quedaba. Al final las fotos quedaron aceptables. La luz no ayudó mucho porque lo hicimos en un cuarto que no tenía luz natural y no podemos negar que la luz en la fotografía lo es todo.
I really like making cakes, so I started enjoying the baking part. For the first photo session I asked for help from my sister-in-law and we met at her house. I took the ready-made cakes and decorated them there with a buttercream that turned out very tasty. By the way, I used the recipe that my brother and sister-in-law use for their cakes.
For that photo shoot I was late in the days because I didn't have someone to help me. I did it when Amanda was 1 month and 10 days old, she was still wearing plaster. For the pictures I had the idea of putting one of her blankets underneath and her on top next to the number made of little ponchos.
As a wardrobe I put a dress that I knitted for her, for the moment she would get out of the hospital and it still fit her. In the end the photos were acceptable. The light didn't help much because we did it in a room that didn't have natural light and we can't deny that light is everything in photography.
El segundo mes también sería con sesión de fotos, para lo que hice lo mismo, mis ponquesitos, esta vez con merengue italiano y preparé el escenario para las fotografías. De ropita le puse un body que le había regalado su madrina y que el color me gustaba bastante.
Esta sesión si fue hecha en la casa de la abuela de Amanda, nosotros vivimos unos meses ahí, mientras Amanda salía de todas sus consultas. Para estas fotos Amanda ya había pasado por cirugía y estaba con sus últimos yesos. En realidad ella celebró su segundo cumplemes en cirugía.
The second month also included a photo session, for which I did the same, my little cakes, this time with Italian meringue and I set the stage for the pictures. For clothes I put a onesie that her godmother had given her and that I liked the color quite a lot.
This session was done at Amanda's grandmother's house, we lived there for a few months while Amanda was getting out of all her appointments. For these photos Amanda had already gone through surgery and was on her last casts. She actually celebrated her second birthday in surgery.
Para el tercer cumple mes, realicé todo de nuevo, ponquecitos, escenario y vestuario de Amanda. Ya en esta etapa ella estaba usando sus zapatos ortopédicos. De las tres sesiones de fotos no me gustó la iluminación, pero fue lo que pudimos obtener con los recursos que teníamos.
Un poco antes de hacer su cuarta sesión me llaman a trabajar y tuve que incorporarme al trabajo prácticamente urgente porque el gerente iba a salir y yo quedaría en su puesto. Con esto ya no tuve más tiempo para mis fotos de Amanda y como no había ningún cómplice para ayudarme o apoyarme esto se quedó en tres fotos nada más.
For the third birthday month, I did it all over again, ponquecitos, scenery and Amanda's costumes. By this stage she was already wearing her orthopedic shoes. Of the three photo sessions I didn't like the lighting, but it was what we could get with the resources we had.
A little before doing her fourth session I was called to work and had to join the job almost urgently because the manager was going to leave and I would remain in his position. With this I had no more time for my photos of Amanda and as there was no accomplice to help me or support me this was left in three photos only.
Mi idea original era hacer los 12 meses e imprimirlas en un cuadro, cosa que ahora no podré hacer. Después he pensado en hacerlo igual y colocar en los otros meses alguna foto bonita de ella en cada mes restante, el objetivo es ver como iba creciendo, pero no me he decidido.

My original idea was to make the 12 months and print them in a picture, which now I will not be able to do. Then I thought of doing the same and put in the other months some nice picture of her in each remaining month, the goal is to see how she was growing, but I have not decided.
