Hello, dear readers. Today, the first news that I had to read and which slightly improved the mood was the publication of an interview with Ben Hodges, a retired American lieutenant general. I had not read his forecasts before, although I had heard his name many times. Hodges spoke about the defeat of the most combat-capable parts of the Russian army, the reduction in the number of missiles, and a rather serious threat from Iranian drones. He also answered the question about mobilization in Russia and believes that people there do not really want to fight. And the Kremlin's efforts to fill the trenches with human resources will only prolong this war, as they will not allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to quickly advance to the historical borders of the country. And he expects the liberation of the Ukrainian peninsula already in August 2023. Until then, the retired general emphasized, Ukraine will not be able to engage in reconstruction and feel safe.
Such a forecast regarding the liberation of Ukraine from the enemy, I think, sounds simply wonderful. Especially since the chief military intelligence officer of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov already announced the liberation of Crimea this year. If this is true and the Russians really do not want to fight, and I really hope so, then such statements look quite realistic. And private military companies formed from former prisoners will not help Russia. I very much doubt that the prisoners show a great desire to go to the front as suicide bombers. And those who have already been recruited and are participating in hostilities will sooner or later end in the literal sense of the word.
The end of the war or the expectation of a new war?
Of course, the primary task of our country is the liberation of the occupied territories. But what will happen after entering the borders in 1991? This question has been troubling me for a long time, and I think that for now we can only guess. And no matter how strange it sounds, the second publication that caught my eye this morning was on this topic. It sounds a little mystical, or maybe the artificial intelligence of search engines has already learned to read minds. We are talking about the opinion of John Bolton, and this is not just anyone, but a whole former national security adviser to the American president.
John Bolton believes that now it is necessary to think about the further development of events, namely, how the situation will develop after the liberation of Ukrainian lands. If we do not take appropriate steps, then in a few years we will have a new war. Bolton points to a period of 5 years, which the aggressor will probably need to restore the armed and human potential. In general, Bolton expressed several key theses: maximum pressure on the aggressor, exclusion of Putin's ability to divide allies. Indeed, it is difficult, almost impossible to predict the future. Bolton is right and the threat will not go away even after the liberation of the territory from the occupiers, but then it will be the work of politicians, not the military. And it will consist in ensuring security guarantees of our country.

Привіт, шановні читачі. Сьогодні перша новина, яку мені довелося прочитати і яка трохи поліпшила настрій була публікація інтерв'ю Бена Ходжеса, американського генерал-лейтенанта у відставці. Раніше не читав його прогнозів, хоча прізвище чув неодноразово. Ходжес розповів про розбиті найбільш боєздатні частини російської армії, зменшення кількості ракет, досить серйозну загрозу з боку іранських дронів. Також він відповів на питання про мобілізацію в росії і вважає, що люди там не дуже хочуть воювати. А намагання кремля заповнити окопи людським ресурсом тільки розтягнуть цю війну у часі, оскільки не дозволять Збройним силам України швидко просунутися до історичних кордонів країни. А ще він очікує звільнення українського півострова вже у серпні 2023 року. До тих пір, наголосив відставний генерал, Україна не зможе займатися відновленням і почуватися в безпеці.

Такий прогноз щодо звільнення України від ворога, думаю, звучить просто чудово. Тим паче, що про звільнення Криму в цьому році вже заявляв головний військовий розвідник України Кирило Буданов. Якщо це правда і росіяни дійсно не хочуть воювати, а я дуже на це сподіваюсь, то подібні заяви виглядають цілком реалістично. І не допоможуть росії приватні військові компанії, сформовані із колишніх в'язнів. Дуже сумніваюсь, що ув'язнені проявляють велике бажання йти на фронт в ролі смертників. А ті що вже завербовані і беруть участь в бойових діях рано чи пізно закінчаться в прямому сенсі цього слова.
Кінець війни чи очікування нової війни?
Звичайно, першочергова задача нашої країни — це звільнення окупованих територій. Та що буде після виходу на кордони 1991 року? Це питання давно не дає мені спокою і думаю, що тут поки що залишається тільки гадати. І як би не дивно це звучало, але друга публікація, яка потрапила мені саме зранку на очі була саме на цю тематику. Звучить трохи містично, а може штучний інтелект пошукових систем вже навчився читати думки. Мова йде про думку Джона Болтона, а це не будь-хто, а цілий колишній радник американського президента з питань національної безпеки.
Джон Болтон вважає, що зараз треба думати про подальший розвиток подій, а саме, як буде розвиватися ситуація після звільнення українських земель. Якщо не зробити відповідних кроків, то за кілька років ми отримаємо вже нову війну. Болтон вказує на термін 5 років, які, ймовірно, знадобляться агресору для відновлення збройного і людського потенціалу. Взагалі Болтон висловив кілька ключових тез: максимум тиску на агресора, виключення можливості путіна розділити союзників. Дійсно, важко, майже неможливо прогнозувати майбутнє. Болтон правий і загроза навіть після звільнення території від окупантів нікуди не дінеться, але, то вже буде робота не військових, а політиків. І вона заключатиметься в забезпеченні гарантій безпеки нашої країни.
