Introduction.
Hello fellow comedians and lovers of comedy. How are you, I hope this meets you well. I am here to bring you story about a man called John. John is from my community but he cultivated bad habits of gambling and eventually became an alcoholic too.
The story about John.
Before year 2010, John was a mechanic who was married with a child, and living well with his family until when he started gambling and subsequently started soaking himself in alcohol. This sapped him of all the monies he was earnings from his workshop (You can also refer to it as work-chop🤣). He also disposed of some of his properties to raise money to fund his current lifestyle.
Things degenerated till he could not run his shop anymore even as he was owing many people, who have continued to pressure him for their monies. Hardships bit harder and harder that he accepted a security job at a private school in the community. Even at this his lowest, he did not stop any of these bad habits that brought him to his knees.
The school proprietor had talked to him about his drinking habit, but he didn't take it seriously till they sacked him.
However, earlier in his life, John learnt to make and disperse rain from his father. His father was a native doctor. Now that he is out of job, he reinvented his rain making skills and started making money out of it. If you have an event, you must come to him to help you disperse rain else, he will distort the occasion with heavy rain and wind😅.
At this time, John's wife had left him, she took the child along. He was sustaining him himself from the proceeds of his rain making business or from the sale if any of their economic fruits.
Each time he is retuning from a function, he would return drunk, sometime people help to bring him back on wheelbarrow, other times, he wakes up by the roadside the next morning.
Each time he is drunk, bad boys steals from him, collecting all he had in his pocket while he staggered along the road or lay waste by the road side.
On days he does not have money to buy his drink, he simply goes into a #beer parlor and seats down quietly. People will graciously buy drinks untill he is messed up.
If by chance, no one buys him beer after sometime of seating down, he will go home and make rain to distabilize the day. People, including shop owners know this, so they don't allow him go, they therefore treat him well and make sure he is happy. (John, the rejected tree is now a VIP 😂)
Conclusion.
As seen in John's life, gambling and drinking are two addictive habits that jointly ruined him. People should guard their minds against these habits, especially our youths. Drinking and gambling have gone ahead to wreck businesses and destroy lifes and homes.
I can't tell you to avoid gambling nor drinking, but If you don't want to become like John, watch out for these two habbits and ensure you don't get addicted to them.
Certainly, not everyone has the rain making skill he posseses which is his last resort, this means that it can get even worse.
