The response of @khaleesii three days ago made me remember this funny moment of my life. Yes, that day was really funny to me because I met a guy. Wait! Let me explain how it all started.
I read her post of how she explained what her anxiety was and I commented on mine too especially being anxious about my relationship status because I also needed God to answer my prayer for a life partner. She replied saying I should go out more often, that I will meet men, and perhaps God would bring him to one of my outings.
One thing about me is that I am an introvert and don't go out. I have heard many people saying I need to start going out because men won't know I exist if I don't go out. At least someone might be out there waiting for me. I just smile and promised I would try to be going out.
The question then was “Where would I be going to if I need to be going out?” “Should I start visiting restaurants or just walking around the whole street?”
I don't know!!!
So, this day, I was so bored on a Sunday after returning from Church. I was still lying on my bed when the thought said “Go and eat outside, don't cook”.
I stood up immediately and got dressed up.
I stepped outside and as I locked my door, those sitting outside saw me and didn't believe I would go out.
I took a bike and went to the restaurant, ordered some meal and ate there. I was so shy that I sat at a close corner, munching my meal as I was thinking of a guy to walk up to me and say “Hello” 😅😅
I spent more than thirty minutes and when no one came, I stood up and decided to get some things at the supermarket since it wasn't far. I took a bike which took me there.
The supermarket was just opening that afternoon and I with a young guy were the only customer. I noticed the guy standing beside me as I was paying for my stuff.
He was attended to immediately and he left while I was still with the cashier. A few minutes later, I got outside and met this guy. I was like “Were you waiting for me?”
He came closer to me and said “You are beautiful ”. I smiled with a thank you to him.
Him: Do you stay around this place?
Me: No, I live at.......
Him: Okay, can I have your contact so we could talk later?
Me: hesitant at first but when I heard “Please”, I took his phone and typed in my number.
I left and took a bike that took me home. I was excited because I couldn't believe I would find someone when I decided to step outside. I promised to always go out but what happened next made me change my mind 😂😂
My friend came to sleep with me that night and I gisted about my day with her. While we were still talking, this guy called around 9 pm.
Him: Hi, how are you?.... This is the guy who got your number earlier
Her: Yea, I'm fine and I remembered you
Him: Alright, can we meet now? There is a hotel beside the supermarket you left then and don't worry, I will pay for your transport. I will text the address to you now.
Her: Hotel? Do you mean now?. No, I can't. I am sorry
Him: He hung the call immediately.
WHAT???!!!
What does this guy take me for? A harlot?
I began to imagine if I dressed as one when we met. Was he blind to see I was dressed properly and not like a street girl or whore.
I and my friend both laughed because I couldn't believe what just happened that night.
He wants me to come over to a hotel, so he could have...... and pay me off 😅
Such embarrassment to me.
Since then, I have always been hesitant to go out as I don't even know where to go. Perhaps you might suggest to me some interesting places to visit first as a newbie in this game 😆😆😆
