My family reared birds (fowls) while I and my siblings were younger and my little sister was fond of playing with them but at times she took the play to an extreme; where the fowls become scared as she would chase them around the compound.

It was a Saturday morning on that fateful day and my mom left early for the market, I and my two younger siblings, my brother and sister were the ones at home and weekends are usually clean-up days for us. As my little sister was still very young her chores during weekends/clean-up day was to take care of the dishes while, my mom(on the weekends that she is free), my brother, and I take care of the house chores.

My brother was busy arranging the sitting room while I was inside cleaning the rooms when my younger sister ran into the house panting. I heard her telling my brother that a Hen of ours spoke 😃

I had to my duties for the moment to hear the full details of what transpired and she said that she was busy running after the fowls which were one of her favorite hobbies and they took shield under their cage and she was hiding waiting for them to come out but as they came out the first one that saw her screamed run to signal the rest fowls that she was there and they all took to their heels in the opposite direction. 😆

I was tired due to the tedious house chores but I couldn't help myself but burst into uncontrollable laughter. When my mom came back from the market my sister repeated the same statement to my mom and she told my little sister not to worry that a Hen can't speak the human language.

After that incident, my sister let the fowls have their peace and stopped chasing them around the compound but she kept on feeding them as she treated them like her pets. I'm glad she was able to learn something positive from that experience because I believe every animal need to be safe in their own comfort zone and my sister wasn't encouraging such by chasing the fowls around. 😊

To this day we do taunt my sister about the incident and she keeps on insisting that she heard the Hen right and she said the word "Run".

Do I belive in my sister words that a Hen spoke? Of course I don't, because it's not logical for a Hen to speak, I guess that the Hen made a sound similar/that sounded like the word "Run"
And my little sister misinterpreted it as a Hen speaking.
