I thought I would share this post of some sights and seals that i took photographs of while waiting for a delivery of scaffolding for work.
This is the V&A Waterfront, to the south-eastern side of the Two Oceans Aquarium.
Here we can see a part of the Marina where some wealthy people have their yachts moored. There is also a small Dry Dock and tour boats.
This location also has a Bootlegger's coffee shop.
Opposite the coffee shop there is a floating pier that is a spot the Cape Fur Seals sleep on.
Enjoy the little walk-about!
The buildings opposite this bit of harbour are a collection of luxury apartments.
Rising up over the other buildings, the tall building on the left is the Zeitz Mocca Museum.
Some information of the bulletin board. There are apparently plenty animals to see.
No touching, no feeding and no disturbing the seals. Got it.
And there they are. Cape Fur Seals used to be hunted for their meat and fur pelts hundreds of years ago. Now, they are protected.
There was a bit of movement when I got there. Most of them were sleeping, some of the others were getting in and out of the water.

This is actually not the only place in the harbour you will find seals sleeping.
I don't understand this sign... Otters? Did they not have a seal picture and text to put on this sign? There are no Otters here!
A notice about pollution and nature conservation. Of course. No not dump plastic into the ocean!
Look on the left centre, a big seal and a small seal are sleeping in the exact same position. They seem to crane their necks right back until it locks and then just sleep this way!
There seems to be a bit of cuddling but there are also seals which, when moving, others would respond to in an aggressive manner. Perhaps family groups.
Here are the tour boats (some of them anyway). These ones take you through the harbour or they can take you into the nearby canal.
That Dry Dock I mentioned. Not as big as the Sturrock Dry Dock or as deep but it can service a fair sized vessel!
This is the entrance into the Two Oceans Aquarium.
This Reptile Park is a super long trailer, it is situated opposite the Aquarium.
