To get here, we can travel by many different means, such as taxis, self-driving cars, or personal motorbikes. Currently, there is no bus route connecting to the Hai Van Quan relic site, to be able to fully experience the beauty of Hai Van pass, I have a piece of advice for you that you should go by motorbike. Experience the beauty of this place. To get to the top of Hai Van pass to visit Ai Van Quan ruins, I will have a few things to note for you when visiting this place. Because Ai Van Quan is located on the top of Hai Van, you have to pass Hai Van Pass, the most beautiful coastal pass in Vietnam. This is also a rather dangerous road, so you need to keep a few things in mind: Driving forward, do not drive over the lane on the pass, even Driving at high speed. Especially in corners, driving fast means causing little safety for yourself. When going sightseeing, remember to bring a raincoat because it often rains on the pass at the beginning of the year, in addition, you should also bring a warm coat because it is quite cold at night. Avoid going after 6 pm, on the pass you will encounter beautiful places of Hai Van pass, I will introduce the beautiful places of Hai Van pass in my following articles. Today, when Hai Van mountain has built a tunnel for cars, through Hai Van mountain. Hai Van pass is safer today than before after the tunnel was built. On the way to Hai Van Quan relic, I passed the beaches located at the foot of Hai Van mountain, one side is the mountains, the other is the sea and the sky, it can be said that there will be no more beautiful pass than Hai Van passes on Vietnam country. If you go at a good time, you can catch the cloud river on the mountain tops here, clouds and fog are some of the things that backpackers enjoy when travelling on this pass.

From the foot of Hai Van mountain towards Da Nang, you will travel about 11km to reach the top of Hai Van pass. If you go from the foot of the mountain towards Hue city, it will take you 10km to reach the top of Hai Van mountain. It can be said that Hai Van Quan is the connecting point between the two cities of Da Nang and Hue. If Da Nang is the place known as the tourist city of the beach, then Hue city is the place to keep the remnants of a Vietnamese feudal dynasty, Hue city is also the last capital of the Vietnamese dynasty. Vietnamese feudalism. Hai Van Quan relic can be said to be an important border crossing point of Hue citadel in the past. During the last dynasty of Vietnam, Ai Van Quan was built solidly to serve as a place to defend and observe the entire Hai Van pass. After a distance of 11km from the foot of Hai Van mountain, you will reach the top of Hai Van mountain. This place is located at an altitude of 500m above sea level, right in the middle of the Hai Van pass is the Ai Van Quan relic, you can park your car at the shops selling drinks, located opposite the monument. Stepping into the monument, there will be a memorial wall for Don Nhat. During the two Vietnam wars, Don Nhat was an important defence site for the French colonialists and the old Vietnamese regime sponsored by the US. During a campaign in the summer of 1952, there were fierce battles between the Vietnamese liberation army and the French army. In the final battle, in that year the Vietnamese liberation army won and this memorial is the place to remember the heroic feats and protect the important defensive point.

Next to the main memorial is the Ai Van Quan relic, the path leading up to the relic is stairs. These stairs have seriously degraded over time, but shortly, this place will be restored by Da Nang city and Hue city. It is expected to be completed in 2023. As you can see, there are many bunkers and bunkers, built by the French army and the American army during the period, from 1946 to 1975. If counting the relics of Ai Van Quan, then there will be two main gate areas of the monument. On the gate of each gate, there will be the Vietnamese characters "Hai Van Quan", and behind will be the words Thien Ha De Nhat Hung Quan." Ai Van Quan's entrance gate is built with a gate height of more than 6m. and 4m wide, the wall is built of solid bricks. During the two Vietnam wars, the monument is almost intact to this day, according to history, the past, each gate would have tall wooden gates. On the top of the gate of Ai Van Quan, formerly arranged cannons and flamethrowers. During the feudal period, the Nguyen Kings arranged this place as an important defensive position of Vietnam, the French army would normally land from the sea. Under the beaches of Hai Van mountain was always a suitable landing place for the French expeditionary army. During that period, through many kings of the Nguyen Dynasty, Ai Van Quan always changed his defences to fight and protect this border area. By 1885 in the armistice treaty, soldiers were all withdrawn to defend the citadel of Hue, Ai Van Quan was managed by the French during this period.

After the invasion of the French and American troops, the ruins of Ai Van Quan were built with more bunkers, the bunkers were arranged around the area of Ai Van Quan gate, during that period this place was named by the French army. is Don Nhat. The fluctuations of weather, the harsh conditions of the central climate and the devastation of 2 wars. Causing Hai Van Quan, not intact as in the beginning. The truth today is that this place is a ruined Hai Van Quan that will appear before your eyes. Like a pile of rubble covered with green moss, the rotting walls can collapse at any moment. Another point is that garbage is left scattered everywhere, by some ignorant tourists. Without a manager, without a guardian of the monument, it is difficult to avoid things like this. Another point is that I see Hai Van Quan located near a high voltage power line, standing nearby and listening to the power line squeak, also quite dangerous. However, I also confirm that this is still a place worth it for you. stop by, visit and learn the history, extremely interesting. But soon, there is very good news, that this place will be jailed and solidify the monuments here. Looking at the design drawings in front of the entrance, after the work was restored, I was quite impressed. Surely in 2023, this place will be a tourist attraction to visit, because here you can see all the natural scenery of Hai Van Pass. In front of Hai Van Quan, there are many beautiful view cafes, for you to sit and enjoy the majestic mountain scenery. At the end of the tour to visit the ruins of Ai Van Quan, I stayed a little longer, so that I could watch Da Nang city light up at night. Do you see Da Nang city lights up at night when standing at the top of Hai Van Pass, do you find it beautiful and impressive?
