This post is a continuation of my travel in the previous week about the trip I made to the Mystic Island of Siquijor.
Hello, dear friends of this amazing community. I hope you will go with me as I share my wonderful trip to the island with you.
Siquijor is one of the most travel destinations for tourists in the Philippines. Aside from its well-known history of black magic and mystic activities, the place has beautiful and captivating beaches and fine white sands along the shore. You will surely be amazed at how lovely the places are with their budget-friendly fees.
One of the beaches you can find in Siquijor Island is the Paliton Beach. The place is like a mini Boracay in Siquijor because of its fine white sand that touches your feet as you walk along the shore.
A lot will say one shouldn't miss seeing the place for it will ruin your trip in Siquijor if you do. Yes, I agree. I am overwhelmed visiting the place for the first time. Before reaching the place, we should pay Php 20.00 per person for the environmental fee. And then you have all day to swim into their white sand as long as you want.
The Wonderful View
One can see a lot of greeneries at the entrance before reaching its main paradise. For me, these trees and coconuts surrounding the place make it more attractive to passersby. Breathing some fresh air and meditating for a while may be done here.
Another stunning view will be seen as you go nearer to the place. The coconut trees will be seen near the place aligned on the shore.
Different Activities
As soon as we reach the hidden gem of the paradise of Paliton Beach, its fine white sand will surely delight you. You can go swimming here all day, and take beautiful pictures in their sand castle and swings.
Together with my friend, we go first to the sand castle. You can ask locals to take pictures of you and your group. And there you go after a couple of seconds, the wonderful shots will be given to you.
Next is the swing, there are many swings you can see around tied on trees. You can also post and have the human drone take videos of you. It was a wonderful experience swinging. For about a minute, the inner child in me seemed delighted, making all the screams and laughing so hard.
We also had the coconut tree shots and the Paliton beach signage which the locals will take beautiful pictures of you.
It was a wonderful experience being here. Don't worry, as I mentioned they offer a budget-friendly place. After taking shots and videos of you, locals will not ask for specific fees but only ask for little donations. You will just place your donations on their bottles on the side and it's up to you how much money will you share.
Budget-friendly Stores
Along the shore, you can also see a lot of friendly stores which provide your needs. If you are hungry roaming around the place, you can rest and they offer food to eat, snacks to bring, and drinks that will quench your thirst.
These stores nearby were also selling seafood for that seafood lover and barbecues.
Another, souvenirs were also being sold in the place. You can see a lot of different kinds of souvenirs - voodoo dolls, keychains, crochet animals, bracelets, and herbal products.
Seeing these different souvenirs being sold in the place was enjoyable. You will surely enjoy your trip here.
Getting there
For first-timers on the island, it was easy to locate the place, it was just near the highway. We use Google Maps to take us to the place. And ask some locals around to get us to the exact place.
You can also rent tricycles or jeeps for a whole family trip and drivers will surely take you to their different destinations that will give you satisfaction and enjoyment. One of the best places to visit is Paliton Beach.
Tips
Locals are very much friendly to everyone, so we should also pay respect to them.
When we went to Paliton Beach, a lot of tourists were also visiting the place and it was not only us who wanted to take pictures and videos of their different activities in the place. Just be sure to bring a lot of patience with you. Lined up and give respect to those who were there earlier than you.
For an affordable budget experience, we did not rent tables or umbrellas with us. Bring your towels and place them on the sand. It was a fun and memorable experience. Sitting on this fine white sand shore is like a resting place for everyone.
Lastly, leave no trace. Let's help the locals in promoting the place. One should never leave empty bottles or plastic wrappers of snacks near the shore but place them in the sacks for the trash. It was a beautiful place and many people wanted to experience it. We should not want the preserved place of the island will be ruined.
