I really miss the time when I could find two hours of quiet time every day in a Turkish tea cafe and write the next article about my wonderful #TheLongestTrip
I hope that soon I will recover my emotional state and return to my usual routine of writing articles at least twice a week. Then you will be able to see new beautiful places where I am now...
Today I return to the beginning of our longest journey, when on March 1, 2022, we crossed the Ukraine-Hungary border and found ourselves in majestic Budapest. I'm gradually emptying my Google gallery of old photos to make room for the next adventure.
I invite you to walk with me again through the streets of the great capital of Hungary, which became our first place of refuge from the terrible events in Ukraine... Walking through the city, I took photos that preserve the spirit of past centuries, which is immortalized in this grand architecture of the times of the Austro-Hungarian Empire...
We went for a walk in the evening, when the lights of the houses were turned on and the city turned into a magical kingdom!
Egg-shaped domes of buildings topped with spires. Oval windows decorated with beautiful stucco. Gate arches with magnificent columns... These elements of majestic architecture give the feeling of being in the royal times of splendor and wealth.
The evening sky was beautifully harmonious with the gray austere houses, which were beautifully illuminated by the golden light of lanterns. In the sky, you can see a bunch of birds that miraculously got into the photo above the dome of the church.
Walking through the streets of Budapest, I stop and take photos of architectural elements: windows, balconies, stucco - all this gives me the feeling of being in my native Lviv, since these cities were built by the masters of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which ruled in my native city.
1772â1914 - Lviv was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire
These photos were taken in 2018 and 2019 in the city of Lviv, Ukraine.
This photo shows my little Darinka with a blue backpack, whom you know as @darine.darine. You can see how much it is growing now if you look at the bottom of the photo ðð
So, after my memories of Lviv, we will continue our walk through the streets of Budapest. And the bright pink manicure of my creative @bugavi uniquely complements the architecture ðĪŠð
Now look at the unique semi-circular street, which is a masterpiece in my opinion!
On Alkolmany Street, I stopped to take a photo of a unique castle-like building!
And at the end of our Sunday walk, there are some beautiful memories in the ABC Team Playgroundwhere my children experienced the joy of life on the playground under the peaceful sky of Hungary. I hope you enjoyed walking with us!
We are on our longest trip more than two years... At a time when a terrible senseless war is going on in our native Ukraine.
