Today it is still very hot here, and to counteract the sultry heat this weekend my husband and I went for a little trip to one of the villages in the Pistoia mountains, also taking advantage of the fact that a friend of ours has opened a new bar right in that little village. Morena, our friend and her husband have been working in the restaurant world for years, we met her when we lived in the mountains because she worked in one of the local bars, an outgoing, delightful and very welcoming person. A few years ago her husband, who is a baker, opened a bread and cake production workshop and now she and her husband have finally teamed up to open their own bar, he at the bakery and she at the counter. They chose this little village called Casa Marconi about 800 meters above sea level on the mountain, the village is small and half empty during the winter but it is a place of passage, well connected to many other small villages, almost everything is found on the road and it is made up of a series of small and cute mountain houses, a park, a restaurant and now also a bar!

Morena, nuestra amiga y su marido llevan años trabajando en el mundo de la restauración, la conocimos cuando vivíamos en la montaña porque trabajaba en uno de los bares de la zona, una persona extrovertida, encantadora y muy acogedora. Hace unos años su marido, que es panadero, abrió un taller de elaboración de pan y pastelería y ahora por fin ella y su marido se han unido para abrir su propio bar, él en la panadería y ella en el mostrador. Eligieron este pequeño pueblo llamado Casa Marconi a unos 800 metros sobre el nivel del mar en la montaña, el pueblo es pequeño y medio vacío durante el invierno pero es un lugar de paso, bien comunicado con muchos otros pequeños pueblos, casi todo se encuentra en la carretera y está formado por una serie de pequeñas y coquetas casas montañesas, un parque, un restaurante y ahora también un bar!
As soon as we arrived we immediately felt the air being much cooler, it was already better than the heat in the valley, then when Morena saw us she welcomed us with great happiness and even opened the bar ten minutes earlier because she saw us sitting outside waiting, it created a beautiful environment, outside it has a small courtyard with tables and flowers and inside a very simple and sober environment, with lots of light and an excellent scent of sweets that spread throughout the place. It has a large counter with sweets on one side and a coffee maker on the other with savory pizzas and focaccias, it is also possible to have sandwiches made with excellent local meat. We ordered some desserts for me and pizza and focaccia for my husband so we had both sweet and savory! We've tried everything. It was a pleasant trip full of good things to enjoy and in the fresh air!

Apenas llegamos inmediatamente sentimos que el aire era mucho más fresco, ya era mejor que el calor del valle, entonces cuando Morena nos vio nos recibió con mucha alegría e incluso abrió el bar diez minutos antes porque nos vio sentados afuera. esperando, creó un ambiente hermoso, afuera tiene un pequeño patio con mesas y flores y adentro un ambiente muy sencillo y sobrio, con mucha luz y un excelente aroma a dulces que se esparce por todo el lugar.
