In my previous post, I mentioned that I had gone to San Antonio del Golfo to look for prices and quotes for inns where I could spend the weekend, with all the amenities. Well, to my delight, I found a place that, although currently under renovation, will be fully operational within a month. The inn, or beach house, is called Aguamansa, and it's located just a few meters from the center of San Antonio del Golfo.

En mi publicación anterior, mencioné que había ido a San Antonio del Golfo a buscar precios y cotizaciones de posadas donde pasar el fin de semana, con todas las comodidades. Para mi alegría, encontré un lugar que, aunque actualmente está en renovación, estará completamente operativo en un mes. La posada, o casa de playa, se llama Aguamansa y está ubicada a pocos metros del centro de San Antonio del Golfo.

The locals told us about this inn, so we went to see for ourselves. When we arrived, we were greeted by the owner's son, who gave us a tour of the entire house and explained the renovations and when it would be fully operational again.

Los lugareños nos hablaron de esta posada, así que fuimos a verla. Al llegar, nos recibió el hijo del dueño, quien nos hizo un recorrido por toda la casa y nos explicó las renovaciones y cuándo estaría completamente operativa.

The first thing we saw upon entering Aguamansa was a large thatched-roof structure (churuata) that, due to its size, could serve as a party area or dance floor. Chairs, furniture, and tables can be set up in this area. It's also the house's Wi-Fi hotspot. Near this thatched hut are showers to wash off seawater and a grill, if the intention is to have an outdoor barbecue.

Lo primero que vimos al entrar en Aguamansa fue una gran estructura con techo de paja (churuata) que, por su tamaño, podría servir como área de fiestas o pista de baile. En esta área se pueden colocar sillas, muebles y mesas. También es el punto de acceso Wi-Fi de la casa. Cerca de esta cabaña con techo de paja hay duchas para quitarse el agua de mar y una parrilla, por si se quiere hacer una barbacoa al aire libre.

Once inside the house, you'll find a spacious living room with plenty of furniture. The decor is nautical, featuring maritime objects, boats, and sailors. You'll also find religious images, especially of the Virgin of the Valley. Remember, the Virgin of the Valley is the patron saint of fishermen and sailors.

Una vez dentro de la casa, encontrará una amplia sala de estar con mucho mobiliario. La decoración es de temática náutica, con objetos marítimos, barcos y marineros. También encontrará imágenes religiosas, especialmente de la Virgen del Valle. Recuerde que la Virgen del Valle es la patrona de los pescadores y marineros.

There are several bedrooms: double, triple, and quadruple rooms, all with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. According to the young man who checked us in, the house can accommodate more than 20 people, making it perfect for parties, get-togethers, or family gatherings.

Hay varias habitaciones: dobles, triples y cuádruples, todas con aire acondicionado y baño privado. Según el joven que nos atendió, la casa puede alojar a más de 20 personas, lo que la hace perfecta para fiestas, reuniones o celebraciones familiares.

An interesting detail is that the house has a kitchen and refrigerator, should you wish to cook. If your intention is to save money and not leave the house, you can do a full grocery shop and buy all your supplies. From the dining room, which has sliding glass doors, you can watch the sunrise and sunset, and if you like, you can even open the doors wide to let the sea breeze fill the entire house.

Un detalle interesante es que la casa cuenta con cocina y refrigerador, por si desea cocinar. Si su intención es ahorrar dinero y no salir de casa, puede hacer la compra completa y adquirir todos los suministros necesarios. Desde el comedor, que tiene puertas corredizas de cristal, podrá contemplar el amanecer y el atardecer, e incluso abrir las puertas de par en par para que la brisa marina inunde toda la casa.

But the place I loved most, and which I'm sure will delight anyone staying in Aguamansa, is its small pier. It has a little thatched-roof hut at the end, and as evening approaches, it's bathed in breathtaking colors. This little space is designed not only for taking beautiful photographs but also as a place where you can sit and watch the San Antonio sky change color as the clouds drift from one place to another like cotton-top birds.

After our visit, we can confirm what the locals had told us: Aguamansa is a place to relax and spend time with family and friends. So, the next time you're in San Antonio, ask about this inn and prepare to fill your soul with peace and the vibrant colors of beautiful sunsets over the sea.

Pero el lugar que más me encantó, y que sin duda encantará a cualquiera que se aloje en Aguamansa, es su pequeño muelle. Al final hay una pequeña cabaña con techo de paja, y al atardecer se baña en colores impresionantes. Este pequeño espacio está diseñado no solo para tomar hermosas fotografías, sino también como un lugar donde sentarse a observar cómo el cielo de San Antonio cambia de color mientras las nubes se desplazan de un lugar a otro como pájaros de cabeza blanca.

Después de nuestra visita, podemos confirmar lo que nos habían dicho los lugareños: Aguamansa es un lugar para relajarse y pasar tiempo con la familia y los amigos. Así que, la próxima vez que estés en San Antonio, pregunta por esta posada y prepárate para llenar tu alma de paz y los vibrantes colores de hermosos atardeceres sobre el mar.
