Lost in the mausoleum with 20 tons of stone stele- TU DUC TOMB

Hi everyone,

I hope all of you have a nice day.
I was so happy when I also had a chance to share with you about famous sites in my country. I had two successful posts with all your support and today I would like to introduce you to other historical sites of the Nguyen Dynasty. And which is Tu Duc's tomb.

Tu Duc Tomb is located in Thuy Bang Commune, Hue City. Known as the tomb of the poet king, and reigned the longest of the Nguyen dynasty kings.
When I first arrived I was surprised by the spaciousness, openness, and monotony, bearing the features of a poetic and courteous king.

In terms of structure as well as other mausoleums, there are two parts: mausoleum and tomb. But different from Khai Dinh Tomb in the first article I wrote about the luxury and sophistication in architecture, Tu Duc Tomb is impressed by the large space with many rooms, large courtyards, ancient houses, and even the old theater is still preserved. I had to wonder why the king was in such a large place, it would take time to go all the way.
The highlight of Tu Duc Tomb from the outside is that there is a large aquarium with a lot of fish located in the middle of the pine garden, the scene is very romantic. And this place also attracts a lot of tourists who come here to take pictures.

An even more attractive point is that it has the largest stone stele in the country with 20 tons. On that stele is engraved the king's own story.

When we come to Tu Duc Mausoleum we will also feel something about this king, which seems dignified, and solemn but also gentle and simple through the ancient houses, lotus ponds, and fish tanks. Just like king Khai Dinh, his mausoleum shows his understanding of art and his lavish lifestyle.

Coming to Tu Duc Tomb, not only did I learn a lot of historical things about this king through the guides, but besides that, I also admired the lively construction amidst the majestic natural scenery, surrounded by old pine forests.
Hue has strength in tombs and temples, so I would introduce to you many more places in this blog.😊

See you in the next post.
