In Sweden, we eat a lot of ham and sausage at Christmas. Therefore, many such foods are sold at Christmas markets.

Annual events are a tradition in every country, aren't they?　In Japan, at the end of the year, Christmas lights begin to decorate the streets everywhere.　In Stockholm, too, Christmas lights begin to brighten up the streets, but there is one annual event that I particularly look forward to.　It is called the Christmas Market, and it is held all over Sweden and sells many things related to Christmas.

On this day, I had the opportunity to visit the city and decided to go to the old town.　This time of year, the Old Town (Gamla Stan) hosts the annual Christmas Market, which attracts many tourists.　This year, especially since the Corona restrictions were over, there were many tourists enjoying the Christmas market when I went there.

I saw few tourists from Japan, where the Corona restrictions are still in place, but there seemed to be tourists from all over Europe, and I often heard German, Italian, French, and other major European languages.　I heard German, Italian, French, and other major European languages. I am sure there are many other tourists from all over Europe, just because I could not hear them.

I also wanted to buy something, so I was looking around and found a cute soap on sale, so I decided to buy it.　I also bought some mustard to put on Christmas hams.　I really enjoy visiting a Christmas market at this time of the year to feel the atmosphere of the end of the year.　The year 2022 has already come to an end, and I am amazed at how quickly time flies!

クリスマスマーケット、ストックホルム（ガムラスタン）

毎年の恒例行事ってどこの国でもありますよね。　日本では年末になるとどこもクリスマスの照明が街を飾り始めます。　ストックホルムでもクリスマスの照明が街を明るく照らし始めるのですが、特に楽しみにしている恒例行事があります。　それはクリスマスマーケットと呼ばれているマーケットで、スウェーデン全土で行われるクリスマスに関するたくさんの物を売っているマーケットです。

この日は市内に行く機会があって、旧市街に行ってみることにしました。　この時期は旧市街（Gamla Stan）では毎年恒例のクリスマスマーケットが開催されていて、たくさんの観光客が訪れます。　今年は特にコロナ規制も終わって、わたしが行った時には沢山の観光客がクリスマスマーケットを楽しんでいました。

やはりコロナ規制が残っている日本からの観光客はほとんど見なかったのですが、欧州全土から観光客が訪れているようで、ドイツ語、イタリヤ語、フランス語、など欧州の主要言語をよく聞きました。　きっとわたしが聞き取れなかっただけで、他にもたくさんのかたが欧州全土から観光に来ていると思います。

わたしも何か買いたいと思い、色々と探していたらかわいらしい石鹸が売っていたので購入することにしました。　ほかには、クリスマスハムを食べる時に付けるマスタードを売っていたので購入しました。　クリスマスマーケットはやっぱりこの時期になると一回は訪れて、年末の雰囲気を感じるってすごく楽しくなりました。　２０２２年ももう終わりを迎えていて、時間の経過の早さにびっくりしています！　としのせいかな？　( ´艸｀)
