Christmas in a small beach town

Hi Hive family,

First, I wish you a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year. ( I know it's a bit late but better late than never.
Also, Christmas should not be only on the 24th, I know you start eating turkey and all that a week prior to 24th and post-Xmas dinners a week after 🤣 )

Each place has its own way to celebrate Christmas, one of the most observed holidays.
It's the occasion when adults are waiting for presents from their colleagues and friends
Children are wondering if they're good or naughty this year and that if Santa Claus will buy their favorite toys.
And most importantly it's the time family members gather and wish each other the very best for next year.

Although there are churches in this small town, I don't see any decorations that match the fancy-looking dress that London put on itself during this time of year.

These pics are sent to me by my younger sister as postcard gift
She knows I miss the UK dearly and would like to do postgrad if I didn't have family commitment

Although we don't get to see the stunning decorations, I decided to make Christmas day full of sweet memories for my two little kids and wife
We spent the morning in a beach-front park so we can enjoy both greens and blues at the same time

*This park is very popular among locals as it is always kept clean and only 1 min walk to the beach so they can jump right in the water if they get bored of grass and trees

Kids couldn't resist the temptation of brown sand and cool water

We played all day long and ate home-made sandwiches and fresh juices prepared with love by my wife while sun-bathing

Then the afternoon came and we waited to watch the sunset, which is beauty at its finest :

Ok, so much time in nature for the day, it's time we looked around for Christmas trees.
Yes, Christmas would not be Christmas if there was no Christmas tree

That should be enough fun for my little family and so we went home right after that to open presents I put in 3 big socks for them.

Thanks for reading my post. I hope you enjoy your precious time with your beloved ones on this holidays.
Life is short. Let's cherish every second you have with your family.
