The KM 0 monument is located in IBOIH village, Ujung Bau, Sukakarya sub-district and this monument is in the Tourism Forest on the island of Sabang. The distance from IBoih beach to the KM 0 monument is about 6 KM by traveling around the mountain and uphill, because the KM 0 monument is in a forest area, so if we go there, along the road we are going through is a forest that is indeed beautiful. The smell of moss and leaves and grass pierces our sense of smell.
Not only that, because we go right and left through the forest so that the air produced is very fresh and there is no factory pollution here, the cold air also bursts into our skin directly, the sounds of wild birds in the branches of the trees accompany us throughout the forest. our journey. Not only that, the forest monkeys that still roam a lot here are unique, and you also have to be careful with your belongings because our luggage could be stolen and carried away into the forest by the monkeys here.
Arriving at the destination of the KM 0 monument on the island of Sabang, we will be presented with the KM 0 monument which was built with a height of 22.5 meters with a monument that resembles the number 0 in the form of a circle with bars. On the right and left of the number 0 there is a symbol like a keris and above the number 0 there is a Garuda bird symbol. The number 0 is ceramic using white ceramic while the supporting monument is painted in turquoise blue.
The Indonesian Kilometer Zero Landmark was made using letters painted in red and white like the Indonesian flag, you can take pictures here to capture the moment, but when we visited the Zero Kilometer this place was still under renovation and periodic maintenance and repainting by the local government, so that the KM0 monument is maintained and not porous.
If when there is no renovation of the place, we can climb the Kilometer Zero monument, from the top of the Zero Kilometer monument we can see a very beautiful view like there were no defects when God created the island of Sabang, but what can we do because it is still in the renovation stage so No visitors are allowed to climb the KM 0 monument.
When you are at the Zero kilometer monument, you have to wear a hat because the place is very hot or you can take shelter around the edge of the forest near the Viem point that has been provided.
