Yes it's risky as I'm alone and the terrain is wild and remote. If I have an accident it could be a problem, though there may be option for emergency mobile call as there's no signal on the cliffs.
On this trip I was so healthy that I didn't need to carry any food, departing after a good breakfast lol. There are indeed the occasional troops of baboons but they make way quickly when they see me. Actually I never carry much food and I'm much bigger than them as a male so they don't pose a risk.
