Good morning my dear community, today I want to share with you my experience in the ARRABIDA Natural Park 😃🚵♂️🏞️, with unique landscapes, rich in geological, ecological and cultural heritage, especially a convent from the year 1542, which with its four chapels and its three crosses at the top of the mountain make it an attraction for mountaineering lovers, it was exactly a goal in mind that I had wanted to do for a long time and it finally became a reality and I invite you to the tour with beautiful landscapes.
At the top of the mountain, we can see the four chapels, which were the set of guard houses to venerate the mysteries of the Passion, and some cells excavated in the rocks form what is known as the Old Convent.

Buen día mi querida comunidad, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi experiencia en el Parque Natural de ARRABIDA 😃🚵♂️🏞️, con paisajes singulares, rica en patrimonio geológico, ecológico y cultural, en especial un convento del año 1542, que con sus cuatro capillas y sus tres cruces en la cima de la montaña hacen un atractivo a los amantes del montañismo, exactamente era una meta en mente desde hace tiempo quería hacer y al fin se hizo realidad y los invito al recorrido con paisajes hermosos.
En lo alto de la montaña, podemos visualizar las cuatro capillas, que eran el conjunto de casetas de vigilancia para venerar los misterios de la Pasión, y unas celdas excavadas en las rocas forman lo que se conoce como el Antiguo Convento.

In those years, great pilgrimages were carried out, to climb the mountain to reach the crosses there is still a path that over time has been filled with weeds, the climb is a little dangerous but with caution the climb is done passing through the chapels and Arriving at the top where the crosses are and being able to enjoy a spectacular landscape, originally the crosses were made of bronze but due to vandalism they were replaced with stones.

En esos años se realizaban grandes peregrinaciones, para subir a la montaña para llegar a las cruces todavia hay un sendero que con el tiempo se ha llenado de malesa, es un poco peligrosa la escalada pero con precaucion se realiza la escalada pasando por las capillas y llegando a la cima donde estan las cruces y poder disfrutar de un paisaje expectacular, originalmente las cruces eran de bronce pero por el vandalismo fueron reemplazadas con piedras.

On the road we get the sign where we see the route of the mountain and another at the entrances to the chapel where it is reported that these areas are protected and a special permit is required for scientific or work purposes in the area to be able to climb the mountains. crossings, unfortunately I did not have any of that permit and we took the risks of climbing knowing that we would be exposed to a fine, but the adventure must continue.

En la vía nos conseguimos el letrero donde vemos el recorrido de la montaña y otro en las entradas de la capilla donde se informa que esas áreas son protegidas y se requiere un permiso especial con fines científicos o de trabajos en la zona para poder subir a las cruces, lamentablemente no tenía ninguno de ese permiso y tomamos los riesgos de la escalada a sabiendo de estar expuesto a una multa, pero la aventura debe continuar.

It is important to be well protected with flannels and long pants to avoid friction with thorny trees, as well as glasses to avoid any contact with insects and the reflection of the sun because at some points of the route you are bordering the mountain and you can slip, as seen in the photos they are trails very dense and you must be well oriented to not get lost in the mountain, you must have the orientation of the sun and in points where there is no vegetation, locate where the crosses are.

Importante ir bien protegido con franelas y pantalones largos para evitar roces con árboles espinosos como lentes para evitar algún contacto con insecto y el reflejo del sol porque en algunos puntos del recorrido estás bordeando la montaña y puedes resbalar, como se ven en las fotos son senderos muy entupidos y debes estar bien orientado para no perderte en la montaña, debes tener la orientación del sol y en puntos donde no hay vegetación ubicar donde están las cruces.

Nos vamos a conseguir algunas piedras pintadas de blanco o verde que son indicadores que vamos por buen camino y en algunos cruces veremos caminería con piedras que se toman de referencia que por hay es el camino.

Managing to get out of the wooded area, we had the most complicated part: the ascent along rocky paths, which is already a sign that we are close to the top and the break arrived to recover a little energy and hydrate ourselves. It is important to bring energizers, fruits and bars. of proteins for this type of activities.

Logrando salir de la zona boscosa nos tocó lo más complicado que era el ascenso por caminos rocosos que ya es una señal que estamos cerca de la cima y llego el descanso para recuperar un poco las energías e hidratarnos, es importante traer energizantes, frutas y barras de proteínas para este tipo de actividades.

Without wasting much time we returned to the path and ahead we began to contemplate the landscape where the mountains and the sea meet and it is for this reason that this area was considered an international scientific relic.

Sin perder mucho tiempo retomamos el camino y al frente empezamos a contemplar el paisaje donde la sierra y el mar se unen y es por esta razón que esta zona fuera considerada una reliquia científica internacional.
