Kjærra fossenpark one autumn day. peaceful place in Lågendalen in Norway..

The autumn started here with dark days, low sun and cold nights. the weather was incredibly bad last week. Since yesterday the sun has been shining again and we feel life has returned back to the earth. It is a nice sunny day today as I don't have any appointments I was free so my husband suggested taking a small trip to Kjærrafossen It is about a 45 minutes drive to drive from our place.
At Kjærra Fossepark, you can enjoy a leisurely walk along the river, listen to the soothing sound of the waterfall, marvel at beautiful bird songs, fish for salmon, and find tranquility. Located in the heart of Lågendalen, it offers a range of nature and culture-based activities and experiences, making it a popular destination. Kjærra Fossepark serves as a green meeting place and arena where business, culture, and nature are nurtured in picturesque surroundings.

We park our car in the parking lot where the activity center called Høyt og Lavt (high and low) is based before coming to Kjærrafossen. We will come back to it later.

This Japanese ceramic oven is right on the riverbank.

It serves as both a sculpture and a ceramic kiln, and is a natural meeting point for potters and artisans from all over the country. An Anagama oven, which means "cave oven" in Japanese, is featured in this kiln, providing space for approximately 500 figures, depending on their size. Workshops with school pupils can be arranged during kiln firings.

We took a short walk in the forest. Time passes quickly, especially in the autumn with its shorter days. We decided to head back to get to our car because we had food there and were feeling hungry. I'll continue the rest of the story next time.
Thank you.
