Hoy os quiero mostrar mi paseo por el puerto pesquero de Tarifa, uno de los más antiguos que hay y del que se pescan los atunes rojos en el estrecho.
Como sabréis los amantes del pescado, el atún rojo es considerado uno de los manjares del mar y en esta, zona podemos disfrutar del atún rojo pescado en almadraba.
Today I want to show you my walk through the fishing port of Tarifa, one of the oldest fishing harbours in the Strait of Gibraltar, where the bluefin tuna is fished.
As you fish lovers will know, bluefin tuna is considered one of the delicacies of the sea and in this area we can enjoy bluefin tuna caught in almadraba.
La Almadraba es una forma de pesca artesanal de las más antiguas que hay.
The Almadraba is one of the oldest forms of traditional fishing.
Pues como se refleja en esta escultura que nos encontramos en la puerta principal del puerto pesquero de Tarifa , el pescador lleva varios pescados colgados de su mano.
As reflected in this sculpture that we find at the main gate of the fishing port of Tarifa, the fisherman carries several fish hanging from his hand.
La escultura es un homenaje a los hombres del mar.
The sculpture is a tribute to the men of the sea.
Los pescadores son hombres fornidos, duros y en general, muy robustos puesto que este tipo de trabajos requieren de mucha fuerza.
The fishermen are strong, tough and in general, very robust men, as this type of work requires a lot of strength.
Hoy día tras haber muchos adelantos en el sector, se sigue pescando el atún con las mismas técnicas ya que esta demostrado que es la mejor forma de mantener los beneficios de su carne.
Nowadays, after many advances in the sector, tuna is still fished with the same techniques, as it has been demonstrated that this is the best way to maintain the benefits of its meat.
Si pensamos en atún , los máximos consumidores de atún son los Japoneses. El atún de almadraba de la costa gaditana esta comprado por Japón antes de ser pescado y es más, ellos son los grandes amantes de esta forma de pesca por eso valoran mucho las características de este manjar.
If we think of tuna, the biggest consumers of tuna are the Japanese. The almadraba tuna from the coast of Cadiz is bought by Japan before it is fished and what is more, they are the great lovers of this form of fishing, which is why they value the characteristics of this delicacy so highly.
Se le llama el Jamón del mar.

Es un tipo de paseo diferente pero muy interesante.
