Hello friends and readers of the community!
Today, we will go on another virtual museum tour. Come with me as we explore the beautiful Pinto Art Museum and Arboretum.
As soon as we enter, we are welcomed by the museum’s beautiful white Mediterranean-style buildings. The white walls, arches, and pathways make the place look peaceful and elegant.
Before we explore the place, we first enter a large room where a video plays to tell the story of how the museum started. It is interesting to learn about its history and how it became one of the popular art museums in the country.
Then we climb the aesthetic stairs into the view deck where we will see some sculptures. From here, we can enjoy the lovely scenery.
A closer look.
Your tourguide taking a quick snap. Proof I was here.
After that, we will go down and visit the Mindanao Collection.
Look at those attention to details. These shows how rich the traditions and heritage pf Mindanao is. We also see a Sarimanok, musical instruments such as this Kudyapi. To be honest this is the first time Im seeing one as I only seen this on my music books back in elementary school.
Our next stop features ancient burial jars, anthropomorphic burial jar covers, and different sculptures. The unique designs and details make this area fascinating to explore.
Before entering more galleries, let’s take a moment to enjoy the plants and nature around us. The gardens are filled with greenery and flowers which make the museum feel relaxing. This why it is also called an Arboretum.
Now, let’s continue to the galleries. Inside, we find paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media artworks. Some artworks are colorful and vibrant, while others make us stop and think.
After walking for a while, we deserve a short break. We stop by Element Cafe for a quick refreshment to help us recharge for the rest of our tour.
After sipping on the cold refreshment, we are now ready to continue exploring more galleries and artworks. Around every corner, there is something new waiting to be seen.
Unfortunately, the rain starts to fall. The pathways become wet, and the cloudy skies tell us it is time to head home.
Our virtual tour of Pinto Art Museum ends here!
Thank you for joining me, and I hope you enjoyed this short journey through art, culture, and nature. See you on our next virtual tour!
