Traveling to Falcon/ Viajando a Falcón

But one thing is what you plan and the other is what nature allows you to do, after 5 night hours on the road, from Caracas to Falcón State, our arrival was at the town of Chichiriviche at dawn where the pier is, we were received by that sky lit a radiant sun and a rebellious breeze.

Without getting off the bus they inform us that there is a sea in the background so we cannot go to the scheduled destination because to go to the place you have to cross the sea it is 45 minutes by boat, however the proposal was to visit CAYO MUERTO and the caves that Being one of the first places in the area, it is only 10 minutes away from the port and there the tide is not so high and the danger is less.

We went to see the Cueva de Los Indios where there are stones and tall stones that form an upward rocky circle. They call it the fishermen's cave, it is known as a religious place where people bring offerings and go on pilgrimage thanking favors or making requests to the virgin, there you can see virgins of all sizes and shapes.

Then we went through the ruins of a ship that dates back more than 100 years, it was called Barco la Gaviota, which shows the birds standing there on its remains.

After 10 minutes of travel we arrive at Cayo Muerto, it is one of the first keys, during the boat ride you can appreciate the turquoise blue of its waters, the great expanse of white sand, clear water and varied vegetation between palm trees and short trees. that provide shade for that person who wants it.

Nuestro destino de viaje era conocer CAYO SOMBRERO en el Estado Falcon en el Parque Nacional Morrocoy.

Pero una cosa es lo que planeas y la otra lo que la naturaleza te permite después de 5 horas nocturnas de camino, desde caracas al Estado Falcón, nuestra llegada fue al pueblo de Chichiriviche al amanecer donde está el embarcadero, fuimos recibidos por ese cielo encendido un sol radiante y una brisa rebelde.

Sin bajarnos del autobús nos informan que hay mar de fondo por lo que no se puede ir a destino programado porque para ir hasta el lugar hay que cruzar el mar son 45 minutos en lancha , sin embargo la propuesta fue conocer Cayo Muerto y las cuevas que por ser lugares de los primeros en la zona solo queda a 10 minutos de distancia desde el puerto y allí la marea no es tan alta y el peligro es menor.

Nos fuimos a conocer la Cueva de Los indios donde hay piedras y piedras altas que forman como un circulo rocoso hacia arriba, también conocimos la Cueva de la Virgen que es una cueva que se encuentra en la montaña que bordea el mar donde pudimos conocer que también la llaman la cueva de los pescadores, es conocida como un lugar religioso donde la gente lleva ofrendas y peregrinan agradeciendo favores o haciendo peticiones a la virgen, allí se aprecian vírgenes de todos los tamaños y formas.

Luego pasamos por las ruinas de un barco que data de más de 100 años, era llamado Barco la Gaviota la cual se aprecian las aves allí paradas sobre sus restos.

Luego de 10 minutos de viaje llegamos a Cayo Muerto es uno de los primeros cayos, durante el recorrido en lancha se puede apreciar el azul turquesa de sus aguas, la gran extensión de arena blanca, agua clara y con vegetación variada entre palmeras y arboles cortos que proporcionan sombra para aquella persona que lo desee.

Allí disfrutamos el día y la vista paradisíaca que el lugar ofrece.
