Khe Lim - A Beautiful Seven-tiered Waterfall Hidden in the Forest

Hello everyone, how are you today?
Lately, I really enjoy going to the waterfalls even though I live near the sea. Maybe it's because exploring waterfalls gives me a more adventurous feeling, I like the feeling of conquering challenges, and waterfalls are the reward for my efforts. And today I continue a journey to conquer another waterfall like that, which is Khe Lim.

The trail to conquer these waterfalls is very beautiful but also very challenging.

Khe Lim is a waterfall located in the forest of Dai Hong commune, Dai Loc district, Quang Nam province. It is located about 50km from where I live, Da Nang city. But I began my journey to conquer it quite early at 7am because I had heard about its arduous forest walk. It is a waterfall that begins at the top of Bang Am mountain. From the top of the mountain down to the bottom of the mountain, it was divided into seven distinct levels, however I only got to the fifth level because I couldn't find my way to the rest of the levels.

This is the waterfall in the first level.

To get here, we can go by motorbike or car. I went by motorbike. When you arrive at Dai Hong commune on Highway 14B in the direction from Da Nang, you will see a sign on the left hand side of Khe Lim eco-tourism area. Turn in there, buy a ticket at the security station (under $ 1), then drive along the concrete road uphill along the stream to the end of the road. Then, lock your vehicle carefully to continue this waterfall trekking journey. The journey sounds simple right? No, the next hike to the mountain is really arduous and challenging. The first thing is to find the trail next to the stream to go up is also a difficult thing. Since very few people come here, the path is really unclear. My advice is that you should go with someone who has been here before, otherwise you will not find the trail and it is easy to get lost in the forest.

This is the waterfall on the second level and its view down to the first waterfall.

I have explored many waterfalls before, but I must say that this journey is quite exhausted. The path is quite narrow and not even clear because of the overgrown plants. Sometimes I had to use a knife to make the road to continue. And there were quite steep sections that I had to use both arms and legs to climb, not to mention the parts where we had to climb cliffs to continue the journey. In general, this hike will be quite challenging for those who are not used to walking in the woods and climbing mountains. However, the end result is well worth it.

And this is the waterfall on the fourth level.

From the foot of the waterfall, following the trail next to it, we in turn conquered the levels of the waterfall from low to high. Each level has its own characteristics and beauty. In the first level, the waterfall looks like a white silk strip from a giant cliff. At the second level, the waterfall splits into two smaller branches and then merges into one. The waterfall on the third level is quite low and looks like a stream. The waterfall on the fourth level flows over a high cliff into a blue lake. And the waterfall on the fifth level is the most majestic waterfall flowing down from the steep cliff about 100m high. And this is where we had to stop because we couldn't find the way and I don't think there's a way to get over the cliff on the fifth level to get to the other two levels. We could only admire them from afar.

And this is the fifth level waterfall which is also the most majestic one.

Anyway, we were also very proud of ourselves for reaching the fifth level, which not everyone can do. It took us about 4 hours to get from where we parked our motorbike to this lelel. It was a challenging and arduous hike, so we were all very proud of doing it. And most of all, we were very happy to admire the beauty of the waterfalls here and have a wonderful time in nature. Thank you for taking the time to read my post and have a great day!
