Recently we took my wife’s family to Ching Jing Ranch in Nantou Taiwan. Here’s the breakdown of this wonderful location.
Ching Jing Ranch is a unique place in Taiwan or Asia in general. One reason for this is the European look of the buildings. The inspiration, I am told, was the Sound of Music and the Swiss Alps. Although these mountains are not as tall or majestic, they are still very peaceful and make the scenery wonderful.
The temperature at this altitude is about 1,700 meters, the sun does a lot of the temperature control. When the Suns up, it’s perfect and pleasant. When it goes down behind the mountains, it cools off fast. This leads to some great pictures.
We got there late in the first day. So after a relaxing evening in the hotel that almost looks like a castle, we had great breakfast and then headed to the actual ranch. There were mostly a various assortment of sheep roaming around. Vending machines offered an choice selection of hay and feed pellets for guests to interact with the sheep. I’m the pictures, my sun was really taken away by the experience and Fed sheep nonstop.
This is definitely a place to visit if you make it to Taiwan. Very amazing scenery and people.
