A Visit to Rizal Park and Intramuros-Manila

This Visit happened last month when we have a blog on one of our subjects. We visit Rizal Park which is located in Ermita, Manila. From Taguig, we rode a jeepney to the LRT station and then hop on a train to go down to United Nations after that a few hundred meters of walking is enough to reach one of the entrances of Rizal Park.

Rizal Park is such a massive place surrounded by beautiful scenery, the place is so neat and had the presence of nature. There are lots of people visiting Rizal Park each day. Anyone can catch a photo from any angle cause all the view is instagramable.

However, people prefer to have a picture in the monument of Rizal cause it was considered a tourist attraction sadly, the building at the back ruined the view. It was known as a photo bomber and the government wants to destroy or attach windows on it with an image of the Philippine Flag but until now there's no solution to it.

The monument is guarded by two civil officers which stand there under rain or shine and I feel amazed at them cause they didn't move at all. We are lucky to witness the exchange of guards cause all their movements are synchronized.

This flag is also located at the Rizal flag, it's building cost almost reached a billion since they say its materials came from Japan that's why its quality is guaranteed.

After we take shots then we roam around Rizal Park then found this statue of Rizal standing where he died from the firing squad. To all my readers' knowledge, Dr. Jose Rizal is our national hero who sacrifices his life for the freedom of the Philippines. He fought using a pen and paper and his works awaken the patriotism of Filipinos to fight against Spaniards. The statues reenact the right moment when Rizal was killed.

At the side of Rizal Park is where the Chinese Temple is located, don't worry guys, the photo seems perfectly shot but I also got surprised that I capture this good photo. Inside this temple had ponds, stone sculptures of Chinese Philosophers, and many more.

This place is magnificent and nature friendly, the only thing you can hear around is the sound of birds and flowing water. It's fun to roam around but you'll be fried from the heat of the scorching sun.

After that we decide to go to Intramuros which is a few meters away from Rizal Park, we feel dehydrated and hungry that's why we went inside Intramuros since it's the only place where Karinderya or canteen is operated.

We decide to eat lunch first before continuing our vlogging journey, Honestly, the food inside Intramuros is cheap and delicious, especially that canteen that served delicious food, and the staff there is so accommodating.

After we took a rest then we continue our vlog then visit Fort Santiago, there's an entrance fee that cost 75 PHP but for students, an ID needs to show to get a discount. After receiving a ticket then tourists are free to roam around. Since we are vlogging, we went to Museo De Rizal which is located inside Fort Santiago and built as a tribute to Dr. Jose Rizal.

This wall composes a Timeline of Rizal from his childhood to his journey in different countries, to his life works, to the women he loved until he died on December 30, 1896.

This is the last work of Rizal titled Mi Ultimo Adios which is his last farewell to all his beloved family and his beloved country.

This is a replica of El Filibusterismo, one of the works of Rizal which awaken the patriotism of Filipinos. Lots of things displayed in the Museum of Rizal are already a replica especially his sculptures, novels, paintings, and his belongings since his original works are displayed in National Museum.

This is me inside the dungeon where lots of people are killed, tortured, and died here due to hunger and so much heat. It is located under the ground and honestly, my hair shivered when I stepped inside this dungeon.

I am encouraging you to visit Intramuros and Fort Santiago cause it will give you lots of knowledge about the past. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery and historical sites that you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and historical sites surrounding the place.
