Hello, everyone!!!

I hope you are well or are trying to be well. I am fine but a little tired. I will talk about the reason in a moment. Night travelling makes me very tired. On top of that, when there are people I love but annoy me, it's even more unbearable.

This time I will go a little out of my Türkiye tour because I have something I want to show you in Samsun, Çarşamba, which we planned last week and arrived this morning, but before that I want to talk a little bit about my journey.

Yesterday, because my brother was working, we took permission to leave work early and set off. This was almost around 5 in the afternoon. It took us a while to get out of Istanbul because almost everyone was coming back from their weekend getaway and there was traffic even on the famous second bridge.

We had a little more than 800 kilometres of road ahead of us and I was frankly worried because it was a night journey. Although I trust my father in this matter, I do not trust my brother. He is a speed enthusiast and when night and speed come together, it may not be pleasant. Fortunately, my brother drove in the first few hours of the journey, that is, until the sun set.

The sunset was beautiful, but unfortunately my camera couldn't capture it. I don't think it's such a bad photo despite that. You can also see from here that my brother was driving the car and we were going quite fast because the sun hadn't set yet. Of course, I don't expect anything like a snail, but at least traffic rules can be obeyed.

When my brother got tired on the way, which took about 6 hours, we stopped at a resting place called Kocal-i. This was to buy some water. I must say it was quite expensive.

The roads were quite full until Tosya. This seemed normal to me since we had been travelling this way for the last few times. Also, we could see a lot of stars since we moved away from the big city and got closer to the mountains. In fact, I don't remember seeing so many stars for a very long time.

We arrived here around 4 at night and since we were all sleepless and tired, we slept without even unpacking our suitcases. I think it was the most logical thing to do. When we woke up in the morning, it was almost noon.

My uncle's son took us to a cafe for a mixed breakfast. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo there.

After meeting and greeting some relatives at my cousin and uncle's shop, we went to a café with my father and mother. The name of this café was Emirgan.

As I understood, it is one of the elite places of Çarşamba because its prices were no different from Istanbul. Normally this place should be half the price in general.

There were very beautiful trees on the road we walked to get inside, just like you can see in the photo above. The air is also very clean here. Both with its greenery and with Yeşilırmak, one of the longest and most famous rivers in Türkiye.

There is also a bridge connecting the two sides separated by this river. It is known as Türkiye's longest bridge. Çarşamba Historical Bridge.

The cafe we were in had a view of this bridge and I wanted to share it with you, so I went a little closer, but before that, my fathers ordered the Hamsiliköy Sütlacı in Emirgan. I had a coffee because I thought I needed some energy.

They both said they liked it. My father said it was good but a bit too watery and they didn't drown it in rice. My mother, on the other hand, said that somehow they caramelised the milk to make this rice pudding, but she liked it too.

In the meantime, I had already made up my mind to go to the bridge. My mum and I left my dad at the café and went towards the bridge.

I love this angle and it's also one of the rare photos I can take without too many people. As I mentioned above, it is quite crowded because it connects the two sides. Fortunately, there is another bridge for vehicle crossings. Otherwise, you couldn't even move from here, and I have to admit that Çarşambambans drive like savages. The traffic rules of the Republic of Turkey are not valid in this district.

The other part of the bridge also had a spectacular view. I also remember that a few years ago we used to go back and forth a few times for a walk with ice-creams in our hands. These ice-creams were our after-dinner desserts and the walk was our after-dinner walk.

I should also add that if you do not live in the bazaar, you are nothing without your own car in Çarşamba. You cannot do anything because the nearest village is 5 kilometres away.

When we set off to go back to my father, I kept seeing things in the neighbourhood that I could share with you. The street vendor's balloons looked very nice.

There was also a sculpture on the right side of the photo area where the street vendors were a little bit ahead of the bridge. This statue is the local symbol of men from Çarşamba. These shoes and a hat. My father's uncle always wore this pair. He would only take off this hat when he was inside the house and doing work in the fields.

According to my father, my grandfather was the same way. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to see my grandfather, so I don't know.

My mum and I saw these clovers at the bottom of the tree. We looked for the one with 4 leaves for a while but we couldn't find it. Did you see it?

I like these flowers very much. The colours are very beautiful and when the bees got as close as they let me, I realised that the smell is also very nice.

While I was photographing them, my father asked me to take a photo of me too and I got his permission to share them with you.

I'm saying goodbye to you with my father. Today was the first day of our Samsun, Çarşamba trip. I plan to share these with you day by day. Even if I cannot share in this community every day, I want to introduce Samsun, Çarşamba to you. I will probably not come here again for a very long time.

Umarım iyisinizdir ya da iyi olmaya çalışıyorsunuzdur. Ben iyiyim ama biraz yorgunum. Sebebine de birazdan değineceğim. Gece yolculukları beni oldukça yoruyor. Bir de üzerine sevdiğim ama sinir olduğum insanlar olunca iyice çekilmiyor.

Bu seferlik Türkiye turumun biraz dışına çıkacağım çünkü geçen hafta planladığımız ve bu sabah vardığımız Samsun, Çarşamba'da size göstermek istediğim bir şey var ama bundan önce biraz yolculuğumdan bahsetmek istiyorum.

Dün kardeşim çalıştığı için işten erken çıkmak için izin alarak yola çıktık. Bu da hemen hemen akşamüstü 5 civarlarıydı. İstanbul'dan çıkmamız biraz zaman aldı çünkü neredeyse herkes haftasonu kaçamağından geri dönüyordu ve meşhur ikinci köprüde dahi trafik vardı.

Önümüzde 800 kilometreden biraz fazla gidilecek bir yol vardı ve gece yolculuğu olduğu için endişeliydim açıkçası. Her ne kadar babama bu konuda güvensem de kardeşime güvenmiyorum. Kendisi hız meraklısıdır ve gece ve hız yan yana gelince hoş şeyler olmayabiliyor. Neyse ki yolculuğun ilk birkaç saatinde yani güneş batana kadarki süreçte kardeşim kullandı.

Gün batımı çok güzel olsa da ne yazık ki benim kameram bunu yakalayamadı. Bence buna rağmen o kadar da kötü bir fotoğraf olmamış gibi geldi bana. Ayrıca buradan da anlayabilirsiniz ki, güneş daha batmamış olduğundan kardeşim kullanıyordu aracı, oldukça hızlı gidiyorduk. Elbette salyangoz gibi bir şey beklemiyorum ama en azından trafik kurallarına uyulabilir.

Yolda kardeşim yorulunca ki bu yaklaşık 6 saat kadar sürdü, ismi Kocal-i olan bir dinlenme tesisinde durduk. Bu biraz da su satın alabilmek içindi. Oldukça pahalı olduğunu söylemeliyim.

Yollar oldukça doluydu ta ki Tosya'ya kadar. Bu da son birkaç seferdir bu şekilde gidip geldiğimizden bana normal göründü. Bir de artık büyük şehirden uzaklaşıp biraz daha dağlar tarafına yaklaştığımızdan çok fazla yıldız görebildik. Hatta çok uzun zamandır bu kadar fazla yıldız gördüğümü hatırlamıyorum.

Gece 4'e yakın buraya vardır ve hepimiz uykusuz ve yorgun olduğumuz için valizleri bile çıkarmadan uyuduk. Bence yapılabilecek en mantıklı şeydi. Sabah uyandığımızda hâliyle öğlene doğru geliyordu.

Amcamın oğlu bizi serpme kahvaltı için bir kafeye götürdü. Orada ne yazık ki fotoğraf çekmeyi unuttum.

Daha sonrasında kuzenim ve amcamın dükkânında biraz akrabalar ile görüşüp selamlaştıktan sonra babam ve annem ile birlikte bir kafeye gittik. Bu kafenin adı Emirgan'dı.

Anladığım üzere orası Çarşamba'nın elit sayılabilecek yerlerinden birisi çünkü fiyatlarının İstanbul'dan bir farkı yoktu. Normalde burası genel olarak yarı fiyatına sahip olmalı.

İçeriye ulaşmak için yürüdüğümüz yolda çok güzel ağaçlar vardı aynı yukarıdaki fotoğrafta gördüğünüz gibi. Havası da oldukça temizdir buranın. Hem yeşilliği ile hem de Türkiye'nin en uzun ve ünlü olan ırmaklarından biri olan Yeşilırmak ile de.

Ayrıca bu ırmağın ayırdığı iki yakayı birleştiren bir köprü de var. Türkiye'nin en uzun köprüsü olarak biliniyor. Çarşamba Tarihi Köprüsü.

Bulunduğumuz kafenin manzarası bu köprüyü görüyordu ve bende sizinle paylaşmak istediğim için biraz daha yakınına gittim ama bundan önce Emirgan'da babamlar Hamsiliköy Sütlacı söyledi. Bende bir kahve içtim çünkü biraz enerjiye ihtiyacım olduğunu düşünüyordum.

ikisi de beğendiğini söyledi. Babam güzel ama biraz fazla sulu olduğunu aynı zamanda da pirince boğmadıklarını da söyledi. Annem ise, nasıl oluyorsa artık, sütü karamelize ederek bu sütlacı yaptıklarını söyledi ama aynı zamanda o da beğendi.

Bu arada da gözüme köprü tarafına gitmeyi kestirmiştim çoktan. Annemle birlikte babamı kafede bırakıp köprüye doğru gittik.

Bu açıyı çok sevdim. Ayrıca çok fazla insan olmadan da çekebildiğim nadir fotoğraflardan biri. Yukarıda da bahsettiğim gibi iki yakayı birbirine bağladığından dolayı oldukça kalabalık. Neyse ki araç geçişleri için başka bir köprü var. Yoksa buradan kımıldayamazdınız bile ki kabul etmeliyim ki Çarşambalılar vahşi gibi araba kullanıyorlar. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin trafik kuralları bu ilçede geçerli değil.

Köprünün diğer kısmı da görülmeye değer bir manzaraya sahipti. Ayrıca bundan birkaç yıl öncesinde elimizde dondurmalarla yürüyüş için birkaç kere gidip geldiğimizi hatırlıyorum. Bu dondurmalar yemek sonrası tatlılarımızdı ve yürüyüş de yemek sonrası yürüyüşümüz.

Bir de eklemeliyim ki eğer çarşı içinde oturmuyorsanız Çarşamba'da kendi aracınız olmadan bir hiçsiniz. Hiçbir şey yapmaya imkânınız kalmıyor çünkü en yakın köy 5 kilometre uzaklıkta.

Babamın yanına dönmek için yola çıktığımızda ise çevrede sürekli sizinle paylaşılabilecek şeyler görüyordum. Sokak satıcısının balonları çok güzel görünüyordu.

Ayrıca köprünün biraz ilerisinde ve sokak satıcılarının olduğu fotoğraf alanının hemen sağ tarafında bir heykel bulunuyordu. Bu heykel Çarşambalı erkeklerin yöresel simgesi. Bu ayakkabılar ve şapka. Bu ikiliyi babamın amcası hep giyerdi. Bu şapkayı yalnızca evin içerisindeyken ve tarlada iş yaparken çıkarırdı.

Babamın dediğine göre de dedem de böyleymiş. Tabii ne yazık ki ben dedemi görme şansına sahip olamadığım için bilmiyorum.

Ağacın dibinde annemle birlikte bu yoncaları gördük. Bir süre 4 yapraklı olanı aradık ama bulamadık. Siz görebildiniz mi?

Bu çiçekler de çok hoşuma gitti. Renkleri çok güzel ve arılar bana izin verdiğince yaklaşınca kokusunun da çok güzel olduğunu anladım.

Size babamla birlikte elveda diyoruz. Bugün Samsun, Çarşamba gezimizin ilk günüydü. Gün gün sizinle bunları paylaşmayı düşünüyorum. Her gün bu toplulukta paylaşım yapamasam bile size Samsun, Çarşamba'yı tanıtmak istiyorum. Büyük ihtimalle çok uzun bir süre bir daha buraya gelmeyeceğim.
