Today I am talking about San Martino di Castrozza and a path that I discovered last winter.

Quindi eccomi qui, al bando la pigrizia e le scuse.
Oggi vi parlo di San Martino di Castrozza e un sentiero che ho scopertolo scorso inverno.
San Martino di Castrozza is located in northern Italy at 1,487 m above sea level, it is a fraction of the municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza in the autonomous province of Trento.
The mountains that you see in the photos and that dominate the landscape, are the Pale di San Martino, the largest mountain group in the Dolomites.
Walking these mountains on foot is a fabulous experience.
I parked the car at this hotel restaurant called Hotel Maso Col.
From there I walked towards the path.

San Martino di Castrozza si trova in nord Italia a 1.487 m sul livello del mare, è una frazione del comune di Primiero San Martino di Castrozza in provincia autonoma di Trento.
Le montagne che vedete nelle foto e che dominano il paesaggio, sono le Pale di San Martino il gruppo montuoso più esteso delle Dolomiti.
Camminare a piedi di queste montagne è un'esperienza favolosa.
Io ho parcheggiato l'auto presso questo Hotel ristorante che si chiama Hotel Maso Col.
Da li mi sono incamminato verso il sentiero.

Ogni prospettiva è una cartolina e il sentiero su cui di cammina è pulito e curato nei minimi dettagli, proprio come sono abituati a fare qui in Trentino Alto Adige.
Continuing you enter a beautiful forest of fir trees that has a scent that is a balm for the lungs.

When you pass it you come to a crossroads, I decided to continue to the right and it was a good choice.

Quando lo si supera si arriva ad un bivio, io ho deciso di proseguire a destra ed è stata una bella scelta.
The path is very well signposted and the most exposed sections are protected by a wooden parapet.

Il sentiero è segnalato benissimo e i tratti più esposti sono protetti da un parapetto di legno.
At some point you come to a stream.
There I enjoyed exploring and observing the rocks, the water, the shades of light and shadow, a beautiful suggestive corner.

Ad un certo punto si arriva ad un torrente.
Lì mi sono divertito ad esplorare e osservare le rocce, l'acqua, le sfumature di luci e ombre, un bell'angolo suggestivo.
I carefully walked along the stream bed and I reached where I could not continue because there was a great difference in height and there I was fascinated by the stones smoothed by the water that had a sinuous, rounded and layered shape.

Con attenzione ho camminato lungo il letto del torrente e sono giunto dove non potevo proseguire perchè c'era un grande dislivello e lì sono rimasto affascinato dalle pietre levigate dall'acqua che avevano una forma sinuosa tondeggiante e stratificata.

Dopo aver esplorato la zona sono tornato indietro, ero partito tardi e lo scopo era fare un sopralluogo conoscitivo.
Credo proprio che ci tornerò qundo nevicherà utilizzando i ramponi.
