Der Super Heavy Booster von SpaceX ist gestern erfolgreich mitten in der Luft ohne Landebeine in seinem Basis-Tower Mechazilla in Texas gelandet. Das ist das erste Mal, dass eine super schwere Rakete auf diese spektakuläre Art landet.
Der Booster ist 71 Meter hoch, das würde ungefähr die Höhe eines 25-stöckigen Gebäudes entsprechen. Der Tower kommt sogar auf 120 Meter.
Das Trockengewicht des Super Heavy Booster beträgt 275 Tonnen, dazu kommen für Weltraummissionen unglaubliche 3400 Tonnen Treibstoff, bestehend aus 2700 Tonnen flüssigem Sauerstoff und 700 Tonnen flüssigem Methan.
Um Gewicht zu sparen, hat der Super Heavy Booster keine Landebeine, sondern landet in den Greifarmen des Towers.

SpaceX's Super Heavy Booster successfully landed in mid-air without landing legs at its base tower Mechazilla in Texas yesterday. This is the first time that a super heavy rocket has landed in this spectacular way.
The booster is 71 meters high, which would be about the height of a 25-storey building. The tower even reaches 120 meters.
The dry weight of the Super Heavy Booster is 275 tons, plus an whopping 3400 tons of fuel for space missions, consisting of 2700 tons of liquid oxygen and 700 tons of liquid methane.
In order to save weight, the Super Heavy Booster has no landing legs but lands in the gripper arms (chopsticks) of the tower.
In celebration of the successful landing, SpaceX engineers have programmed a fun browser game.
