A Poem for my Neighbour's Wife

FalseCreekMoon0003.jpg

What shall I do then as she
Dances among the flowers in the courtyard
Summer dress fresh
By the fountain on the steps
Searching to meet my gaze beneath the window

We lived an alternate history
Hair steam-punk rolled
Weaving Victorian threads
Having decided to stay awhile
We lay in the solar stream
And bathed together with a smile

Hear me rose beneath the glowing moon
Enveloped in misty kisses and dew
Promises like butterflies
Flirted and fluttered
Then faded in the radiant gloom.
