A New Nigeria is possible

Our father land has been corrupted
Littered with the bones of her youth
And flooded with the blood of her own
Among her citizens are the broken,
And the poor neglected to die.

Greed had eaten deep into the once giant nation
The rich seek for her gain and the poor abandoned
The future of the youth dashed against the wall
All that's left are scars and bleeding hearts.

It seems as if all hope is loss
As if the nation built from the sweat of our heroes is collapsing
Where sacrifice are expensive with leaders seeking after gain
It seems as if the once blessed and fertile land is cursed
And there's no hope for a new Nigeria.

But no, amidst the turbulence is hope
A hope for a new Nigeria.
Where her youth would have a voice
And her children would have a future.
A new Nigeria where the old walls would be restructured
And greed would be flushed out.

This power lies in our right to vote
Our right to choose a leader that believes in a new Nigeria.
And that chance to make a change is today.
Go out and exercise that right
