But this year we didn't buy any because we are short of money. I stopped by a grocery store to buy something and then got off the bus at the bakery to buy bread and no one had any rosca de reyes. They must have run out that very morning, since due to the economic situation, I don't think they have made much stock for a product that is consumed for a few days. Although this same one is usually sold for Easter and we call it rosca de pascua (but it is the same as the rosca de reyes, we just change the name).
En la mañana del 6 de enero, solíamos levantarnos a desayunar con la rosca de reyes, que tiene crema pastelera arriba como la de las facturas y fruta abrillatada como las que tienen los pan dulce por dentro. Pero este año no compramos ninguna porque estamos escasos de dinero. Yo pasé por un almacén a comprar una cosa y luego bajé del colectivo a la panadería a comprar pan y ninguno tenía rosca de reyes. Se les debe haber acabado en esa mañana misma, ya que por la situación económica, no creo que hayan hecho mucho stock para un producto que se consume unos pocos días. Aunque esta misma se suele vender para Semana Santa y le llamamos rosca de pascua (pero es la misma rosca de reyes, solo que le cambiamos el nombre).
