En el número IV de la serie San Telmo, les quiero compartir lo que pude recopilar en los locales abarrotados con artículos de colección, donde predomina el coleccionismo y la venta de objetos antiguos también, para quienes desean adornar algún espacio en su hogar. Desde que ingresé a este peculiar Mercado de San Telmo en Buenos Aires, no he dejado de recibir sorpresas y satisfacciones al poder hacer un recorrido consciente y sin prisas. De hecho, pudimos comer y tomar una que otra bebida refrescante, durante la tarde.
No puedo comenzar a mostrarles las fotografías que pude elegir, sin antes darles algunas luces respecto a lo que significa ser coleccionista, y las razones por las cuales, se dedica a este oficio, o hobby. Cuando una persona tiene afición, bien sea por el arte, la música, la escritura, u otras, es muy probable que elija ser un coleccionista o un artista que le gusta guardar objetos que le traerían buenos recuerdos. A estos lugares, suelen asistir este tipo de personajes.
El coleccionista se deja llevar por sus bastos o no, conocimientos en cuanto al renglón que más le gusta.
Esta costumbre despierta en el hombre, común y corriente, el espíritu de poseer valiosos objetos. Igualmente, el tener la exclusividad al elegir el objeto que será parte de su colección. Hay diferentes tipos de coleccionistas y colecciones, ello se debe que cada quien pone el valor al objeto, la motivación y la razón para invertir en algo que tal vez el día de mañana, cambia de valor, es muy apreciado, carece de valor tangible y/o solo por satisfacción propia.
Entre los objetos coleccionables, se encuentran, juguetes, objetos deportivos, y si han sido usados por algún famoso, pues su valor aumente con el tiempo, Libros de primera edición, ropa, zapatos vintage, figuras o esculturas, jarrones, vajillas sombreros cómics, etc. Eso sí, siempre que estén en buen estado. “No es comprar por comprar cosas viejas” Si hablamos de una antigüedad, debería tratarse de cosas que han sido construidas en épocas pasadas, ello, le da el verdadero valor o despierta el interés del comprador.
Dicho todo esto, en las imágenes que les presento, podrán visualizar objetos tan hermosos con antiguos. Tenemos, por ejemplo, Un plato de ventilador de oro japonés Chokin Art. 24 KT, arte pintado a mano de decoración Chokin. Es hermoso y especial. Una vajilla de porcelana china, que traspasa las barreras del tiempo. Un juego de té igualmente con porcelana china, que me llevó a mi niñez. Esas vajillas eran los juguetes que yo usaba para preparar el té y servir el café con mis amiguitas. De haber ido a buscar alguna compra, seguro me hubiese llevado ese juego de té. Un modelo de traje que antiguamente le ponían a los niños para la ceremonia del bautizo.
Entre tantas y hermosas vajillas, elegí una en azul y blanco porque me recuerda mi vajilla que quedó en mi casa en Venezuela. Allí encontré las soperas de mi sueño. Son ollas elaboradas en porcelana o cerámica fina, para colocar la sopa. Estas traen su cucharón y un orificio para colocarlo antes de servir la mesa Un mueble muy antiguo y tallado por un dedicado ebanista, sin duda Bien búhos en diferente cristal, vasos de cristal, teteras, etc. La verdad es, que esto daba para más imágenes, as´que haré otro post con la número V, pues hubo otro renglón que acá no presenté y se´que las van a encantar.
Ya sabes que si vas a elegir ser un coleccionista, debes prepararte y estudiar acerca del tema, para que puedas ser tan exitoso como muchos.

In issue IV of the San Telmo series, I would like to share with you what I was able to gather in the stores filled with collectibles, where collecting and the sale of antique objects also predominate, for those who wish to decorate a space in their homes. Since I entered this peculiar San Telmo Market in Buenos Aires, I have not ceased to receive surprises and satisfaction from being able to make a conscious and unhurried tour. In fact, we were able to eat and have a refreshing drink or two during the afternoon.
I cannot begin to show you the photographs I was able to choose from without first giving you some insight into what it means to be a collector, and the reasons why one dedicates oneself to this profession, or hobby. When a person has a hobby, either for art, music, writing, or others, it is very likely that he chooses to be a collector or an artist who likes to keep objects that would bring him good memories. These places are usually attended by this type of characters.
The collector is carried away by his vast or not, knowledge of the line that he likes the most.
This habit awakens in the common man the spirit of possessing valuable objects. Likewise, to have exclusivity in choosing the object that will be part of his collection. There are different types of collectors and collections, this is due to the fact that each one puts the value to the object, the motivation and the reason to invest in something that maybe tomorrow, changes its value, is highly appreciated, lacks tangible value and/or only for self-satisfaction.
Among the collectibles, there are toys, sports objects, and if they have been used by a famous person, their value will increase with time, first edition books, clothes, vintage shoes, figures or sculptures, vases, tableware, hats, comics, etc. Of course, as long as they are in good condition. "If we talk about an antique, it should be things that have been built in past times, this gives the true value or awakens the interest of the buyer.
Having said all this, in the images that I present to you, you will be able to visualize such beautiful objects with antique. We have, for example, A Japanese Chokin Art. 24 KT gold fan plate, hand painted art of Chokin decoration. It is beautiful and special. A Chinese porcelain dinnerware, which transcends the barriers of time. A tea set also with bone china, which took me back to my childhood. Those dishes were the toys I used to prepare tea and serve coffee with my little friends. If I had gone shopping, I would have taken that tea set with me. A model of the costume they used to put on the children for the christening ceremony.
Among so many beautiful dishes, I chose one in blue and white because it reminds me of my china left at home in Venezuela. There I found the soup tureens of my dream. They are pots made of porcelain or fine ceramic, to place the soup. They have a ladle and a hole to place it before serving the table. A very old piece of furniture carved by a dedicated cabinetmaker, without a doubt, owls in different glass, crystal glasses, teapots, etc. The truth is, that this gave for more images, so I will make another post with the number V, because there was another line that I did not present here and I know that you will love it.
You already know that if you are going to choose to be a collector, you should prepare yourself and study about the subject, so that you can be as successful as many.
