Hello friends and compatriots! I come a little far from the platform, but here I am collaborating with our community that I love so much! I take the opportunity to bring the third part of renowned and/or world-class Argentine musicians. I always try to maintain the variety of styles, we have exhibitors of cumbia, rock, metal, tango, cuarteto and obviously trap among others. So I prefer to avoid the monotonous and expand the catalog so that everyone can find something interesting.
Without further ado, we move on to our first artist, a milestone and legend of Argentine tango.
Que tal amigos y compatriotas! Vengo un poco alejado de la plataforma, pero acá firme colaborando con nuestra comunidad que amo tanto! Aprovecho la oportunidad para traer la tercera parte de músicos argentinos de renombre y/o nivel mundial. Siempre busco mantener la variedad de estilos, tenemos expositores de cumbia, rock, metal, tango, cuarteto y obviamente trap entre otros. Así que prefiero evitar lo monótono y ampliar el catálogo para que todos puedan encontrar algo interesante.
Sin más, pasamos a nuestro primer artista, un hito y leyenda del tango argentino.
Carlos Gardel

Gardel, the Creole thrush, with the legendary smile and an eternal voice. Carlos Gardel is an iconic Argentine tango singer. Not only a singer-songwriter and personality, but also an actor who starred in many films. Musical soap operas were very normal at that time. From Palito Ortega to Sandro we have a very varied tradition of musical romance novels. Gardel was no exception, but rather the opposite. His productions were really of very good quality for the time. In fact, almost all of them are complete on YouTube, and some are restored and colored. The voice of Zorzal Criollo is legendary, and the more years pass, the better it sounds. The singing of the tango has a unique rhythm in its lyrics. Sometimes it seems like he speaks, other times he recites and other times he sings, but the subtle variations in his voice make him a legend that will never be forgotten. His stories are interesting, doing the research for this post I started to look at some of them and they are curiously captivating.
Gardel, el zorzal criollo, de la sonrisa legendaria y una voz eterna. Carlos Gardel es un tanguero argentino icónico. No solo cantautor y personalidad, sino también actor que protagonizó muchas películas. Las novelas musicales eran muy normales en ésa época. Desde Palito Ortega a Sandro tenemos una tradición de novelas románticas musicales muy variada. Gardel no fue la excepción, sino más bien lo contrario. Sus producciones realmente eran de muy buena calidad para la época. De hecho en youtube están casi todas completas y algunas restauradas y coloreadas. La voz del Zorzal Criollo es legendaria, y mientras más pasan los años mejor suena. El canto del tango tiene una rítmica única en su lírica. A veces parece que habla, otras que recita y otras que canta, pero las variaciones sutiles en su voz lo hacen una leyenda que nunca será olvidada. Sus historias son interesantes, haciendo la investigación para este post me puse a mirar algunas y son curiosamente atrapantes.
La Renga

Jumping on one leg to the corner of infinity. This powerful heavy rock band has a power and originality worthy of mention. It is not metal, but it is a fast and combative rock and roll, its lyrics are songs to freedom or philosophical expressions "Maybe destiny is a lie, maybe the only thing life wanted was to end with you." Ballads, heavy rock, protest music, La Renga has a bit of each style in its varied repertoire. With a history of much activity and a lot of musical quality.
When I listen to this band, the truth is that it motivates and energizes me. Although it has been around for several years, it is a classic Argentine rock band. It remains fully current and up-to-date, with an excellent quality sound and spectacular power. “If there is a shadow for every light, run wherever you run”
Saltando en una pata hasta la esquina del infinito. Esta potente banda de rock pesado, tiene una potencia y originalidad dignas de mención. No llega a ser metal, pero es un rock and roll rapido y combativo, sus letras son cantos a la libertad o expresiones filosóficas “Quizás el destino sea una mentira, quizás lo único que quería la vida era terminar con vos” . Baladas, rock pesado, música de protesta, La Renga tiene un poco de cada estilo en su variadisimo repertorio. Con una historia de mucha actividad y mucha calidad musical.
Cuando escucho esta banda, la verdad me motiva y energiza. Si bien tiene varios años y es una banda clásica de rock argentino. Se mantiene en total vigencia y actualidad, con un sonido de excelente calidad y una potencia espectacular. “Si hay una sombra para cada luz, corras a donde corras”
Gilda

With her sweet voice, this Argentine woman from Villa Devoto managed to captivate millions of Argentines with her music and lyrics. Gilda, always smiling, grew in popularity and won the hearts of her followers. Gilda was a kindergarten teacher and worked in her father's company. One day she decided to answer a classified ad where they were looking for female singers for tropical music. Even in that day, cumbia still did not have the place it has today in national music. Gilda over time generated levels of adoration rarely seen. A legendary figure who was worshipped as a saint in some sectors and several miracles were attributed to him. He sadly died in a road accident while traveling on a long-distance bus. In his place there is an altar that remains a point of pilgrimage among fans, supporters and curious people. He had a short career and left us young.
But Gilda's enigmatic presence will live forever in music, her angelic voice and beautiful smile. Today he remains a classic of many parties in all Argentine social classes without distinction.
Con su voz dulce, esta mujer Argentina de Villa Devoto logró cautivar a millones de argentinos con su música y letra. Gilda siempre sonriente, fue creciendo en popularidad y ganándose el corazón de sus seguidores. Gilda era una maestra jardinera y trabajaba en la empresa de su padre. Un día decidió contestar a un aviso clasificado donde buscaban cantantes femeninas para música tropical. Aún en ese día todavía la cumbia no tenía el lugar que tiene hoy en la música nacional. Gilda con el tiempo generó unos niveles de adoración pocas veces vistos. Una figura legendaria que se la adoraba como una santa en algunos sectores y se le atribuyeron varios milagros. Falleció tristemente en un accidente vial mientras viajaba en un micro de larga distancia. En su lugar hay un altar que sigue siendo un punto de peregrinaje entre fanáticos, simpatizantes y curiosos. Tuvo una carrera corta y nos dejó joven.
Pero la enigmática presencia de Gilda vivirá por siempre en la música, su voz angelical y hermosa sonrisa. Hoy sigue siendo clásico de muchas fiestas en todas las clases sociales argentinas sin distinción.

A great, a giant. Contemporary to Charly Garcia, both being powerful exponents of Argentine Rock of all time. They called him “El flaco Spinetta” or simply “El flaco” (The skinny one). His use of metaphor and poetry has a wonderful complexity and sweetness. His early works reflect an exceptional innocence and purity. This is obviously mixed with his innate talent for music. He has a very humble personality, and in all his interviews he shows a thoughtful attitude that radiates peace. Although he is seen as a relaxed and jovial person, a great character can be seen behind the artist.
Un grande, un gigante. Contemporáneo a Charly Garcia siendo ambos poderosos exponentes del Rock argentino de todos los tiempos. Le decían “El flaco Spinetta” o solamente “El flaco” a secas. Su uso de la metáfora y la poesía tienen una complejidad y una dulzura maravillosas. Sus primeras obras reflejan una inocencia y una pureza excepcional. Ésto obviamente está mezclado con su talento innato para la música. Tiene una personalidad muy humilde, y en todas sus entrevistas muestra una actitud reflexiva que irradia paz. Aunque se lo ve como una persona desenvuelta y jovial, se aprecia un gran personaje detrás del artista.

Escucho de manera esporádica este podcast. Es un poquito diferente a todos! ¿Como? Bueno, llevan artistas reconocidos de la música tropical Argentina y entre alguna bebida tocan música en vivo, realmente el ambiente es muy bueno y tiene una energía muy positiva. Se llama “Haciendo ruido“ y se puede encontrar en youtube y spotify. Les recomiendo este para que escuchen y conozcan este excelente formato!

I listen to this podcast sporadically. It's a little different from all the others! How? Well, they bring well-known artists of Argentine tropical music and between some drinks they play live music, the atmosphere is really good and it has a very positive energy. It's called "Making Noise" and you can find it on youtube and Spotify. I recommend this one for you to listen to and get to know this excellent format!
