Resolutions or Goals?

It's January and all the hype has died down regarding New Year's resolutions and trips to the gym to turn a new leaf. I just avoid the whole thing and don't make resolutions. I prefer to set goals and I typically have ongoing goals that get revised from time to time if something changes.

I have purposed to read through the Bible again this year. I started mid year last summer and lost steam, so rather than pick up where I left off reading, I started all over. I picked a plan from YouVersion yesterday to read the Bible in 365 days. I spent some time catching up on missed reading segments from January 1 to January 8th.

I like YouVersion app for methods to keep consistent with daily devotions. Jeff and I have been using the app for our couple devotions. The days seem to go better for both of us when we share prayer and Bible reading together.

I'm glad that the holidays have been put behind us and we can focus on the house sale and redistributing everything in it. It's going to be challenging trying to get all of this sorted. One day at a time we will get this done. The next big event is the surgery for Rabbit's right rear knee tendon scheduled for Wednesday.

Do you make resolutions? Do they work for you?
