Patterns By Degree

I am not familiar with the term "pattern recognition" so I did a quick Google search to get input. The term is used for data algorithms used for a myriad of reasons.

My brain thought it was simply black and white. I thought it could refer to behavior, for example by recognizing a person's habits. Pattern recognition is used in medical diagnosis by assisting doctors in treating and diagnosing patients by scouring data from countless patients with similar symptoms.

Pattern recognition is most likely used on Facebook, Google, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, and other social media to target users with marketing advertisements. Facebook's facial recognition, and Google's, tag your photographs, and your friends and allow you to add them to a post to get the most bang for its advertisement potential.

If you dare to click on one advertisement, anywhere it seems, will guarantee that you receive the same item or variations of it, for the next millennia.

My best advice is to shut off your phone.

Ok, so I doubt you'll do that, but you get the idea. Big Brother is watching you (and me). Every keystroke, every mouse click, he'll be watching you.

Have you noticed (fallen victim) to algorithms, facial recognition or other pattern recognition? Share your thoughts in the comments.
