A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words : Take 1

When words fail to fulfill what the mind wants to say, indeed, a picture can say all of it without even actually saying anything! Thus, the picture is called "the universal language" because of the power it holds. From the beginning of creation, it has been there, and it will be there till the end.

The most fascinating thing is that it is not limited to a single outcome! Thousands of people can understand millions of words, and none of them may be the same! It all depends on perspective.

What I see

An old farmer sitting on the table is quite sad. In front of him are a bowl of soup, two cups of tea or coffee, a loaf of dry bread, and the ingredients of the soup. Beside the farmer stands his loving wife, holding a pen and paper, worried about something. Furthermore, the the lantern, the candels and the stars suggest that it is night time.

What I feel

Something is definitely off! What could it be? What is the paper beneath the farmer's hand? What are the drawings on the paper? Why are they worried?

The Story

The old man and her wife, are parents of a great magi, Robin. The old man is an ordinary farmer and his wife is just a housewife. They did not know their son is a great magician until this horrible night! There has been a betrayal in the king's palace. Robin though managed to cast away the king into safety, but has barely managed to escape with a devastating wound by a magic beast! The only cure is the Soup of Recovery but it has to be taken before the sun rises!
Without any hesitation, Robin went to his parents house. Before fainted, he was able to give them the instructions on how to make the soup written in the papers. As the parents love their only child, they cannot watch him die, furthermore, if the dies, the king's whereabouts will not be revealed. Though shocked at the news of their son being a magi, they have to do what they can to save Robin.
But, despite of several tries, they are failing to prepare the soup. The indication of the soup being finished correctly is that it would turn into green color. Their failure is making the old farmer hopeless. But as the mother's love is unmatched, she cannot be hopeless. She is going through the papers to check what are they missing or doing wrong! She is also trying to motivate her husband to not lose hope.

But did they succeed? Well, that may be a story for some other time!
