It is the month of July yet no rain on the plain I see
How I really looked forward to getting wet in the rain
To see the flowers spreading out in their bloom
Trees evergreen, birds singing on their branches
To wave at the rainbow in its seven beautiful colours
Not to feel the Sun's scorching rays, just the clouds cooling drops
Famine will surely come upon this land so quickly
If there's no rain on the plain to quench our thirst
And to water our garden planted with many seeds
Starvation will come if there's no rain in the month of July
If there's no rain on the plain I see
