Para echarles el cuento corto todo el mundo sabe que a la dama del hogar no se le niega nada y mucho menos cuando pide que le arreglen un bote de agua, cambien un bombillo o simplemente saque la basura.
Y cuando contamos esta historia recordamos los hechos que a lo largo de la vida de casados han tenido los maridos de protagonismo. Nunca lo han sido. Claro está no todos son iguales.
Esta es la corta historia que cuánto arriesga un marido al no saber lo que quiere su mujer. Y esa es la interrogante que todo hombre quiere saber, las ideas que corren en la mente de su mujer, cuando con esa frase corta donde indica el tac, tac que esta cayendo en la cocina. El bote de agua estaba cumpliendo un mes.
Él solo alcanzará a ver pasar a su mujer con la llave inglesa en una mano y un teflón en la otra. Y cuando logre levantarse del sillón, preguntándose ¿pero que haces mujer?, si ya lo voy arreglar. Ya ella ha terminado de arreglar la llave.
Así empieza con la cantaleta en la tarde, el bombillo de la sala se ha quemado. Pero como es de día, el marido piensa que le dará tiempo a cambiarlo más tarde. Su mujer lo verá tropezar en la noche cuando apaga la televisión y se tropieza por toda la sala para irse acostar. Así pasaran unos cuantos días más, hasta que llega su mujer con la escalera en una mano y el bombillo en la otra; en pleno partido de fútbol a cambiar el bombillo de la sala.
Pues sucede y acontece que van dos ¿verdad? llevan ustedes la cuenta. Pues a la tercera no saco la basura y mucho menos puso la bolsa en la papelera.
Aunque tengo que admitir que no he visto a mi vecino desde hace dos semanas, cuando le pedí el favor para mi estudio de psicología; que no hiciera ninguna de las labores que le pidiera su mujer, a ver ¿cómo reaccionan y piensan las mujeres?

This is the short story that a husband risks by not knowing what his wife wants.
