This is my post for #freewriters Wednesday prompt green beans hosted by @mariannwest

When I saw this basket with the green beans in it, many memories came to me. My Dad always had a huge garden and canned everything from his garden, I wish that I had his recipe for corn relish. At one time he had enough canned vegetables to last 3 years. I do not know if I want to eat it for that long but I guess you could.

Anyway back to the green beans. He had a basket just like the one in the picture. If you saw him pick it up and go out the back door, you knew he was going to the garden and you better disappear because if you were anywhere in the house he would find you and you would be sitting on the front porch swing snapping green beans. I hated doing this, but now I would give anything if I could be sitting there with him snapping green beans.
It is something that writing about snapping green beans would bring a tear.

Dad was one that made you eat your vegetables, I would gag on carrots but would have to eat them, now I love carrots, isn't that crazy. He was also one to make you eat breakfast. He loved to cook zucchini squash with scrambled eggs, it was not bad but I was never big on eating breakfast. Lunch he did not make us eat if we did not want it, but dinner you had to put some of everything on your plate and eat everything on it.....

This is a pigfish that I found in my boat, it has been this long since I have been able to fish it. Today we fished in my husband's boat. We did not catch many sailcats maybe 50 pounds that is 25 dollars but also we might have 40 pounds of jacks they will be 60 dollars, it is not a great payday for 2 people working but it is 85 dollars that we did not have. We both have Dr. appointments tomorrow so we can not fish. Maybe I will try to work on my motor, AGAIN!!!!
