Keep Your Eyes on Bangladesh!! ~ Demand for the Government's Resignation

Today, the organizers of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement made a one-point demand, the resignation of our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina along with her full cabinet. This demand didn't come from them solely, in a mass gathering of thousands in response to the anti-quota movement organizers at the Central Shahid Minar in Dhaka they announced this officially but it has been echoing in the mass for many days. This movement is not anymore confined to the quota demands as we have shed the blood of hundreds and sufferings of thousands, that's quite a high price to pay so we want a full reform of the country now. Fifteen years is a long time to rule, not anymore. It's better to step down with the leftovers than being dragged to the streets. It's August, let's not make this darker for you guys on the calendar.

Did you read my last post? This One that I wrote when the whole nation was in complete blackout just for the sake of our government who thought their deeds wouldn't be spread if they just cut us off from the internet connectivity. Come on, this is 2024!! Don't forget the generation you are dealing with, that too with the students, the finest brains, and hot-blooded youngsters of the country. Have you seen fear in our eyes when you pointed guns at us? Have you seen fear in our eyes when you kept shooting at our brothers? You couldn't make him fall with one shot, he stood up again, and you shot again to make him fall, but how many? We are hydra, if you cut off one there will be many to stand again. Haven't you seen today’s gathering? All walks of people joined the students spontaneously.

Want to hear about some mockery done with us? Abu Sayed was shot dead by the police on July 16 when he was unarmed and standing still in front of the police with his hands spread. Police shoot him with cold hands, not once but twice. The whole nation saw that video, wasn't it enough evidence to see how he was killed? They made an FIR stating that he was killed in the violence and the next day arrested a 17-year-old kid with the charges of killing Abu Sayed, are we blind? Or do they think we are fools? After almost two weeks, that kid was released and on social media people were criticizing this arrest. Yesterday, on August 3rd, two police officers were suspended for this killing. Suspension after so many days? Okay, the real investigation is going on but what took this long even after having a clear video footage of the killing? What about those countless deaths that aren't videoed or have anyone to witness? You did get an idea about the atmosphere, right?

She called the students at Gonobhaban(PM's house) and said that they have rejected it as we don't want any more negotiations, we want her resignation. What to negotiate about? What's left after the deaths of hundreds? Can you believe it? Officially two hundred plus, unofficially it would get multiplied by a lot, all these on a student movement? Why didn't she negotiate with us before applying force on us? Before applying for shoot-at-sight orders? Wanna hear about another mockery? While she was calling the students for negotiation, oppression started at another two big districts Cumilla and Sylhet, students and general protesters were beaten and few were dead. You call us with one hand and kill with the other? What's this? Even in the past few days, they chanted for discussions in the daytime and started raiding houses at night in different parts of Dhaka in search of the students and youngsters to arrest.

Instead of handling the situations with care, they kept enforcing strengths on us. Even they took away the organizers of the anti-quota movement, six of them at the DB office stating that they were in need of protection, and from the DB office they made them announce the end of this movement. Hahaha, do they think we are this fool? We won't understand this melodrama. They forgot this generation had become a hydra, they took away six organizers and there arose a few more with the instructions given to them if any of the senior organizers were dead or arrested then the rest of them out there would continue in leadership. The exact number of organizers is unknown as well, they are from different places too, even this movement isn't directed by any of the two or three organizers, all of them need to agree on a decision and then it is made public so those trap games can't be imposed. You take down two, there will be four, you take down four then there will be eight, and most importantly, the whole nation knows what's right and what's wrong so they are collectively making decisions without explanations. From the very first minutes of the video where the organizers gave a statement of ending this movement from the DB office it was understood by all that they were at the gunpoint, I mean under pressure to make that statement. They did hunger strikes for more than 32 hours and they were released coming out they expressed their 9-point demands and seeing the government's actions and oppressions it's now one, one and only demands are now our prime minisater Sheikh Hasina to step down. Yeah, the resignation of Sheikh Hasina along with her full cabinet who are guilty as well for this worse situation, and there should be an election to restore democracy.

Well, I might be missing many important points like how they have been treating us these days, their inhuman activities like arresting students here and there, and most importantly, the mysterious way in which the whole generation has been changed into a revolutionary generation within a month and the mass people has also learned to stand strong against oppression without being selfish to live alone.

Today’s Request:

From the morning of 4th August, the mass people will be on the streets of the Non-Cooperation Movement with one demand of her to step down. You know what? One of her advisors also called her political workers to take positions in their respective places to prevent. Aren't they calling for wars? Starting from the quota movement they kept oppressing us on the streets over and over again, the more they tried to dismiss us the stronger we united to stand against them.

You are the international media, we might be in a blackout again, falling victim to mass killing. Only Allah knows what's ahead of us, ahead of Bangladesh. Please keep your eyes on us, on Dhaka, on Bangladesh.
