The prompt "just one more moment" reminded me of a person pleading for another chance at a wrongdoing. The idea behind the theme begged for a microfiction story of just such a person. Whether the character deserved a second chance can be viewed on an individual basis. This ZAPFIC50 story is told in exactly 50 words. The challenge was created by @felt.buzz.

Below is my story.
"You're exaggerating. Give me just one more moment," Michael pleaded as he grabbed Joanna's arm.
Scouring the restaurant, his crackling voice started, then paused.
A long silence. "ENOUGH!" Joanna shoved the detective's photos across the table.
Michael's eyes widened in horror staring at him accompanying another woman inside a motel.
