The moment I saw the prompt for today, I knew that a terrible incident that occurred down in the subway. I didn't want the situation to be too gruesome, so devised a flash fiction story about hope. My flash fiction is a ZAPFIC50 story told in exactly 50 words. The challenge was created by @felt.buzz.

Below is my story.
Beads of sweat dripped on Victor's collar. Glancing at his watch, he cursed. Fifth tardy incident that month would result in a week's docked pay and removal from the overtime pool. His goal of saving for a new car faded as suddenly he slipped and fell down in the subway.

Gotas de sudor goteaban sobre el cuello de Víctor. Miró el reloj y maldijo. El quinto retraso de ese mes le supondría una semana de descuento en el sueldo y la expulsión de la bolsa de horas extra. Su objetivo de ahorrar para comprarse un coche nuevo se desvaneció cuando, de repente, resbaló y se cayó en el metro.
