Adanna's family were humble farmers from the small town of Umunjika. She was their only child and a very brilliant one at that. Adanna was a little girl when she would sit out at nights, wondering about the stars, many evenings she would spend counting them and giving names to as many as she could. She often wished she could be a part of these little twinkling celestial beings. She found them very fascinating!

Her parents were poor but they were ready to give their only child the best education, she was brilliant they knew and so they laboured so they could send her to the community secondary school. In her final exams she performed excellently, especially in science and mathematics. This attracted the attention of a Government sponsorship program. Adanna was given a scholarship to study Aeronautical Engineering in the University, making her parents the proudest, with this accomplishment.

Adanna graduated from the University, Cum Laude. Again she was in the News when she was chosen by the African Space Navy as part of their team, thereby making her one of the first African women to pilot a spacecraft, a feat unparalleled in the community of Umunjika and the surrounding environs, and which brought her fame and honour.

Time passed, and Adanna returned home dressed in her clean Navy Spaces uniform. The people of the village came together to congratulate their own on this great achievement, to celebrate the girl who not only dreamt of the Stars but dwelt among them.
