Dirty Verses
The workers of sanitation
used to respect people’s trash.
You could bag evidence or cash;
they wouldn’t check for damnation.
Nasty and private trash once was.
No one wanted it; much less cared.
Now all your secrets are aired
every package makes them pause.
The most disgusting buffet
our garbage has now become.
“You never know,” is rule of thumb.
Don´t open that one, you pray.
You cannot become a killer
with such nosy trash collectors.
If they were movie directors,
your life would become a thriller.
