It is good to honor those that are older than us, we reference them. I think it is the right thing to do. When you honour those ahead of you, then those behind you will also honor you.
However, despite the fact that we honor the aged, we should not let anything wrong go unnoticed. I have often realized that sometimes honor can an advantage to some of our aged people to demonstrate some wrong act, this is wrong. Even when we respect and honor them, we should not let them fall into error and much more push us into it. We can clarify things maturely with honor.
