My legacy

Image

Before my earthly life ends,
I will leave you my most precious legacy.
Petals of roses will be the parchment
where my verses will travel scattered by the wind.
They will fall subtle on the ceilings like foam,
glimpses of my soul printed in letters.
I won't get that far in life
only to the paradise of letters that God imposed on me.
I will inherit you my deepest verses.
The ones I have written with an open heart,
capturing my suffering in inky traces.
My poetry will know neither goodbye nor shortcuts,
It will continue its immortal journey beyond.
Sighs in verse will fill the silences,
exhaling the essence of my tormented soul.
