The #MeToo movement has become a tool for women to acquire fame, sympathy, money or to exact revenge. Recently, Justin Bieber fell victim to the new and dangerous attitude of #BelieveAllWomen.
The Flip Side of MeToo
When the Harvey Weinstein scandal broke in 2017, a tsunami of victims came forward against many high-profile figures. Due to the attention given, many felt empowered to come forward. But as the list of perpetrators grew, some of the 'victims' didn't seem victims at all.
Now one thing we can agree on is that sexual violence is the most hated crime. Even jails put rapists and pedophiles in a separate unit for their own protection. That is to say, even lowly criminals can't stand them.
There is, however, another creature of a human who is deserving of similar contempt—false accusers.
From Bret Kavanagh to Aziz Ansari, character assassination was swift and brutal. You don't need to be an Einstein to see through their accuser's stories.
In Bret Kavanagh's case, the accuser's story lacked many vital details, including when it happened. Not only was the account so vague (as to be impossible to verify), her own friends denied any connection to the incident.
Regarding Aziz Ansari's accuser, her account seemed to say almost nothing other than she regretted having sex.
False accusers often have different motivations. In Ansari's case, it probably was an act of revenge for being rejected for anything more than sex. While in Kavanagh's case, the accuser may have been both attention-seeking as well as being politically motivated.
Now it's 2020, and 2 'victims' have accused Justin Bieber of sexual assault. One from an anonymous account which later got deleted. The other was from an influencer called 'Kadi'.
There is so much evidence negating Kadi's story; it is impossible to compile it here. Firstly, her social media accounts showed posts and videos detailing her love and affection for Justin Beiber years after the 'rape'. One of her posts even joked about her wanting to pay Justin to rape her. You can't make this stuff up.
Besides the social media posts that indicate she was no victim, Justin tweeted out countless bits of evidence that completely negates her story.
Nevertheless, the woke mob have got their new target, and they want blood.
When 'Victims' Are Abusers
Domestic violence against women is another crime that attracts disgust and revulsion for good reason. When physically superior men attack their weaker female partners, it's enough to make any decent human sick.
And again we have countless cases where women will use this against their partners, current or former. Often when they are the actual abusers.
As you can imagine, one that would lie like that is capable of a whole lot of evil, which is especially true in the context of a messy divorce.
That's precisely what happened with Johnny Depp and his former partner, Amber Heard. She accused Depp of hitting her amid their divorce. Later it came out she was the physically abusive one.
But the only reason Depp was exonerated was that he was wise enough to get recordings of her incriminating herself. So many before and after him were too naive or inexperienced to navigate themselves in such a way carefully.
The Media's Role
Media play an important role when the accused is well known and no wonder. First of all, it sells. Secondly, and more importantly, they use it to take down political opponents.
Whether it's Bret Kavanagh or Donald Trump, the media wants to push a specific narrative. No matter how far fetched the claims, they know that 'mud sticks'. Furthermore, if you keep repeating a lie, it begins to sound like the truth.
In contrast to Kavanagh and Trump, Clinton and Biden have so much real evidence stacked against them. Nevertheless, the media seem not to care when it's one of their own.
To summarize, the media's contribution in this area should be as suspect as all their contributions. In the words of Hitler himself,
if you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed".
